If you choose to go out for dinner, you will find excellent dining choices just a few miles down the mountain in downtown Gatlinburg or at Ober Mountain Ski Resort and Amusement Park. You may choose to drive a very short distance and park at Ober Mountain and ride the Aerial Tram down the mountain to enjoy the gorgeous views and dine or shop in the many unique shops downtown. Black Beary Mountain Retreat is a brand-new construction luxury cabin with 4-bedrooms and 4-bathrooms. Completed in November 2023, this cabin has enough room to host 12 guests comfortably. The pictures are beautiful, but they don't even do it justice. brbrWhen you arrive at the cabin, you will walk up to a front porch, complete with a couple of rocking chairs. You walk right into an open concept great room including a large main living room, kitchen, and dining area. There will be a lot to take in, as this cabin is overwhelmingly gorgeous. In the living area, there are two large couches and three individual chairs surrounding the electric fireplace and television. The windows surround this room for your viewing pleasure of the great outdoors. There are family games in the coffee table on this main space, for those fun nights at home. The kitchen is a full gourmet kitchen equipped and fully stocked with everything you would want or need to host your family, during your stay, including a large pantry. You will love the shared meals and cooking time with your family and friends sitting around the dining table made to seat 10. The dining table has two end chairs and two long benches on the sides. There are also 5 barstools at the kitchen island, for extra seating, located just steps away from the dining table. This main great room opens up to the spacious main level deck, where you will find a propane grill and an outdoor dining table. There is a separate section on the patio with cozy couches for outdoor relaxation, as well. To enhance the ambiance of the evening, there are rope lights around this level of the patio, which really brightens up the area.brbrJust around the corner from the kitchen, on this main level, is one of the master bedrooms. This room features a King Bed and bathroom with a standalone glass enclosed shower. The bathroom is located just outside the bedroom door and can be shared by guests in the main spaces of the kitchen and living room. This bedroom does have a ceiling fan and a 65-inch smart television. brbrAs you go upstairs in the main foyer, you will reach the top level of the cabin, which is private, for those guests wanting an escape from the commotion. On the loft landing, there is a dedicated workspace that is perfect for remote working or studying. Just past the office, you will enter the top-level bedroom which features a King Bed and private master bathroom, which is only accessed from inside the bedroom. This bedroom does have a ceiling fan and a large television. This bathroom is complete with a large soaking tub and separate shower, dual vanities, & separate toilet room. There is a closet offered in the bedroom with a hanging rack and luggage rack for your clothing storage. The best part is that this bedroom includes access to a small patio, offering privacy, seclusion, and a gorgeous view. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out on the patio, for your morning coffee!brbrTravel back down the stairs to the bottom level of the cabin. This is where the fun happens! This convenient location just off Ski Mountain Road is 3.0 miles down the mountain to shopping, dining and attractions in downtown Gatlinburg and 0.5 miles up to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, an all season resort. The chalet is within walking distance to Chalet Village Owner's Club which offers guest privileges to the large swimming pool, tennis courts and game room (closed in winter). The Owner's Club is also a staging point for the available 5 minute shuttle ride to Ober Gatlinburg for downhill skiing, snow tubing and ice skating in winter months when parking at the resort is at a premium. brbrThe chalet's 'roundabout' style is great for group gatherings with a large stone wood burning fireplace being the focal point in the center of the main level. The living area around the fireplace includes a 52 inch TV, sofa, 3 reclining chairs and 5 theater-style chairs on a raised platform for lots of available seating. Also on the main level is a full kitchen, dining area (table with seating for 12), bar (seating for 4), pool table, 1 bedroom (King) and 1.5 baths. The bedroom has a 32 flat screen TV. The kitchen has stainless appliances, a large pantry and 2 full size refrigerator/freezers with through the door water and ice for plenty of food storage for your large group.
