Additionally the home has 3 full baths so your guests never need be inconvenienced. Continuing to the covered rear deck you'll find the home's hot tub as well as an additional gas fireplace with plenty of deck furniture. The fireplace is turned off from spring until late fall. We have bears roaming around the area and see them often. While they generally do not interact with humans please use extreme caution if you see a bear and please do NOT feed them.brbrIs the cabin close to nearby attractions brbrYes! The cabin overlooks the city lights of downtown Gatlinburg and you will be less than a 8 minute drive down to the action. The cabin is also just minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park as well as the new observation bridge, the largest in North America! It is also less than a 10 minute drive to the Ober ski resort.brbrIs smoking permitted brNo smoking is allowed inside the cabin or on its decks.brbrGuest accessbrThe entire home is available for your stay. Guests will access the home via electronic lock code on the front door.10 minutes from Pigeon Forge city limits. After memorial day each year our pools are open all guests. Total of 6 pools between the 3 Chalet Village Clubhouse locations. Also Tennis courts. Pools normally shuts down for the season at the end of September each year. opening back up early March. The community is in a quiet and well maintained neighborhood called Upper Alpine Condominiums and has access to 3 clubhouses with game rooms, 3 pools, hot tubs, tennis courts and weight room. One pool and clubhouse located on property, the other 2 are very close by. The recreation facilities and pools are only open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.brThis is perfect for a family getaway or a couples retreat to unwind and relax. We are located at the top of the mountain so there will be switch backs and mountain driving which will be normal mountain turns and inclines. It is not handicap assessable. There are 6 steps going down to the front door.brbrWe have tried to provide basic necessities for those times when you get in late. There is a K-cup and regular coffee machine with coffee, cream and sugar. We also have salt & pepper and sometimes oil. We provide 2 trash bags for your stay and 2 extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. We also have hair dryer, Q-tips, cotton balls, cotton pads, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and disposable razors and black make up towels for your convenience.brbrA car is preferred to get around and into the downtown areas of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There are trolly stops throughout the area. The nearest hiking trails start about a mile away and a car is recommended to get to them due to narrow streets and no sidewalks. Please be aware that you will be driving on narrow mountain roads to get here and during your stay, so take your time and be aware of the other drivers. Free parking is in front of the building.brbrIf you need 2 separate units we have another condo 2 doors down in the same building which also sleeps 6brbrPools, clubhouses, fitness centers and outdoor play structures are only open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and closed certain days for cleaning.brbrPlease be aware, we have bears in the mountains! While they seem cute and friendly, do not approach them, do not feed them, and do not leave trash out. If you are eating on the balcony and see them in the grass, take all your food indoors. They can and will climb up to the balcony for your food, even when you are out there. Do not leave food in your cars.brbrWe are located up the mountain, you will be driving on curvy mountain roads so please be aware of that.
