Sandy Ridge Landing is a spacious 3 level home with large covered porches on the front and rear of the home with ample seating to enjoy the beautiful mountain and lake views. On the rear of the house is a large patio with a 6 person Hot Tub, a 6 place patio set and a charcoal grill. There Is a large yard for the children to run and play enjoying the outdoors in eastern Tennessee. At the edge of the back yard is a short walk to the cove with a new dock that can hold up to 3 boats. There are no steps or steep hills to the cove. This is a quiet cove to enjoy all of the swimming, boating, kayaking, and fun on the lake. There is plenty of on-site boat parking also.br Entering the home on the main floor you will find the large open living, dining, kitchen area with hardwood and laminate flooring. There is a love seat and sleeper sofa to relax and enjoy the large flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The dining room has a large table with 10 chairs and a bar with 4 chairs. The fully stocked kitchen has a large refrigerator with a ice maker, dishwasher, stove, and microwave with lots of counter top room to prepare large meals. Off of the kitchen you will find the laundry room with and half bath. Also on the main level is the master bedroom with a king size bedroom suite and a flat screen tv. The bedroom has a private full bath with a corner shower and Jacuzzi tub. This makes the main level accessible for someone in your group that is not comfortable with stairs. br The kitchen door leads to the heated and cooled garage area with another refrigerator, picnic table, ping pong table and corn hole boards. There is also another set of stairs leading to the basement area. br Up the open staircase on the main level you will find a open loft with a queen and 2 full size beds. Across the catwalk there is a large full bath with tub and shower. At the end of the hallway is the second large bedroom with a king size, and full size bed. There is also a crib for the little ones. br Down the open staircase there is a large den/game/sleeping area with a stone wood burning fire place with a flat screen tv on the mantle and a sectional couch. There is a 4 place dinette set and a bar with 3 chairs. Behind the bar area is open shelving with lots of books and games. The game area has a futon couch, foosball table and arcade games. On the back side of the open stair case are 2 queen size bedrooms and a full bath with shower. Next to the full bath is a door that leads up the stairs to the garage area.brJust a short walk away you have Indian Creek Market and the Scoop Ice cream parlor to grab a quick bite to eat or a treat for the kids and adults too. There are several marinas nearby to launch your boat or rent pontoons and jet skis. A TVA launch area is on state route 92 near the Moonhill bridge. brDouglas Lake is a TVA controlled reservoir and is drawn down from late fall through early spring. The lake is still there, but docks may be sitting on the lake bottom and not at the edge of the property. brYou will be required to sign a rental agreement, a point of contact form and set up a required security deposit after making your reservation. This room offers a pool table, a large oversized comfy couch, a large flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD (selection of DVD movies) for your enjoyment and complete cable package. For even more fun, there is a video game whiskey barrel table with 60 games, making the perfect place for socializing and making unforgettable memories!brbrThe kitchen is very large with granite countertops, a full size refrigerator AND full size freezer, as well as a beverage fridge. There is a high bar with four bar stools and a large farmhouse table that can seat up to 10 people, accommodating your entire group for meals, conversation and fun! In the morning, enjoy a coffee from the complimentary coffee bar. For those guests having to do some remote work we have a work zone station with a desk off the kitchen. Recently, hi-speed, fiber optic internet has been installed in the cabin. Please remember that you will be in the peaceful mountains and cell phone service can be spotty, however, the internet is fast and reliable!brbrCrazy Bear Cove is located about 35 minutes from Pigeon Forge, making it far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to enjoy the attractions of the area. The drive is a beautiful one and you may even see a black bear with her cubs. Other attractions in the area include Clingman’s Dome (the highest point in TN) about 1.5 hours, Cades Cove about 1 hour and 45 minutes and various hiking trials which offer a varying degree of difficulty, some offering paved paths, and view of waterfalls. brbrThis cabin is highly maintained and loaded with amenities. You will have your own floating dock with swim ladder and a private pier with comfortable Adirondack chairs to relax and chill! Summer water depth in the Cove is 10 to 15 feet deep. The walk down to the water is mostly stoned and in a zigzag pattern to assist with the steepness of the hill, however, this is a “walk” for some. You have extensive views from all the large windows lakeside so all you see if the beautiful lake. The living room has a beautiful corner stone gas fireplace to enjoy in the fall and winter time. A large sectional sofa is in the living area , a card table along with a dining area with 8 chairs and the beautiful kitchen with 4 bar stools for additional seating . There is access from all sides to the very spacious wrap around covered porch. The beautiful lake and mountain views are in abundance at Wonderland Cove. Any of the living spaces are wide open for all the beautiful artwork God has painted here. It seems he did it just for your eyes and you sit and wonder how you can take it all in. The master King bedroom suite is lakeside of the home for those amazing lake views the moment you open your eyes. This master suite is beyond your imagination. There is a fireplace in your bedroom suite for those fall and winter nights as well. Open those doors and enjoy early mornings as soon as you open your eyes! As of 2021 we now have an extended 10 ft x 28 ft deck beyond the covered porch area for lots of outdoor living space. The master bath is complete with a jetted tub, separate shower, and double vanities. Upstairs you have another queen bedroom that’s very spacious and a 3rd bedroom that has a queen bed, a day bed and trundle underneath. There is a full bath on the second floor as well. The landing area has a bookcase packed full of wonderful reading material. Grab a book, run to the hammock, and get lost in a story while overlooking the serene waters of Douglas Lake. There is a very large yard to run and play for all those kids, young and old alike. There is a separate large deck outside overlooking the lake which has a charcoal grill and dining table with chairs. This large bathroom also has stackable washer and dryer hidden by a large barn door. Newly installed fiber internet & free WiFi available so guests can stay connected. A Roku TV with Paramount + available in the living room. Our newly renovated kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator ,gas range and oven, microwave, crock pot, toaster, Keurig coffee bar, pots, pans, and utensils to cook and serve.
