This log cabin is located on beautiful Douglas Lake and close to the Great Smoky Mountains. We are conveniently located 6 miles off the interstate and 3 miles from downtown Dandridge. This cabin is ideal for couples or active families that enjoy the water and the mountains. This cabin has seasonal water early April to late Sept./early Oct. depending on rainfall. We have a floating dock as long as we have water in the cove.brbrNew pergola deck near the water with picnic table and adirondack chairs. New walkway from the lower deck transitions the hill to the pergola. Canoe available for guests. Also, newly added firepit!brbrThe main bedroom has a king size memory foam mattress, the 2nd bedroom has a queen and the 3rd has two XL twins. The cabin is two levels with the 3rd bedroom, family room, laundry room and one bath on the lower level. brbrThe upscale kitchen comes fully stocked. The dining table has a self-storing leaf that effortlessly converts the table to seating for eight. The spacious family room on the lower level has a 65 smart TV, foosball table and a gas fireplace. The upstairs living room also has a 55 flat screen TV and wood burning stove. The cabin has a gas grill, two decks with one covered and screened and another that is covered in the front. brbrWe have a private dock and there are ski boat, jet ski, pontoon boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals available nearby on the lake. There is a public boat launch 4 minutes from the cabin. The cove offers protection from winds and storms, but gives easy access to the main channel.brbrThe cabin has a front loading washer and dryer. Dock is typically floating March - Oct. Water typically begins filling in March in our cove. However this is TVA controlled and we cannot make promises on water levels. Check the TVA site for current and expected conditions by time of year (or reachout we are happy to help!)brbrOur close cabin is immersed in nature which most love! However, this means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, fox, and more! You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view. We contract regular monthly pest services which treat for all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given our wooded location, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. We immediately respond and treat if anything comes up and have found it is rare to come across anything like this.

That is, IF you ever want to leave the property!brbrOn the property, there is a private dock for each of the two homes located in separate coves. A 26' Tri-toon pontoon boat with a 150 hp four-stroke motor is available for rent, and there are kayaks and paddleboats around for free.brbrWe have horses, but they are more suitable for admiring and petting than riding. They are very gentle, but have not been ridden much the past couple years. They love the attention when they're not grazing on the grass around the property. There are also a couple of trails for hiking as well as a campsite on the property. brbrThe cabin itself is 18x24 feet, but there are three floors. The top floor is a master bedroom suite with a queen bed and a private bathroom with a shower, but no tub. The middle floor has a kitchen and dining area on one end, a fireplace in the middle, and a living room on the other side of the fireplace. The living room features two comfortable sofa beds that can sleep 1-2 people each. The ground floor has a queen bed with a private bathroom and an old Victorian-style copper tub.brbrThat arrangement allows for at least 4 people in the two bedrooms, as well as the aforementioned sofa beds in the living room.
