While there have been some small cosmetic renovations it still has old bones and guests may notice areas of uneven flooring, cracks in ceilings, cracks in paint, etc. If comparing prices in Charleston, we feel it is an affordable alternative to hotels and other homes in the area but anyone expecting luxury accommodations in a brand new house should look elsewhere.brbrCANCELLATIONSbrbrGuests will receive a 95% refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, no reservations are given.brbrDAMAGE DEPOSITbrbrA $500 damage deposit will be pulled from the card used for booking prior to the departure date. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND. brbrHOT TUBbrbrUse the hot tub at your own risk and follow all of the posted hot tub rules.
