Welcome to The Pelzer House—an ultra-luxurious, newly renovated retreat in Mt. Pleasant’s coveted Cooper Estates neighborhood. Just wait until you see the unbelievable marble checkerboard gunite pool and outdoor living space!



Designed with discerning travelers in mind, this spacious home features dual primary suites, one of which has an extra twin trundle bed, two additional guest rooms with king beds, a charming twin room, and three full designer bathrooms, making it perfect for families or large groups.



Step into a chef’s dream kitchen with top-of-the-line Thermador appliances, custom cabinetry, and a walk-in pantry connected by pocket door to the mudroom and laundry area. Soaring vaulted ceilings and expansive bi-parting sliders create an open flow between the kitchen, living, and dining spaces, all with views of the stunning marble checkerboard pool, elevated spa, and fully fenced backyard.



Outside, unwind in the covered lounge with a wood-burning fireplace, or host dinner al fresco at the separate outdoor dining area with a gas grill. The private backyard also backs up to a small piece of Lake Cooper, with a gate that opens directly to the water—perfect for fishing, watching wildlife, or just enjoying the view.



Location perks You’re just 7 minutes to downtown Charleston, 3 minutes to Shem Creek’s waterfront dining, and 10 minutes to Sullivan’s Island Beach. A scenic 12–15 minute walk brings you right to Shem Creek on foot. Plus, guests have access to off-street parking for 5 vehicles, and the oversized driveway accommodates a trailered boat—just 5 minutes from public boat landings.

Guest Access:

Guests will have full access to the entire home, including all five bedrooms, three bathrooms, the gourmet kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, and laundry/mudroom.



Enjoy complete privacy in the fully fenced backyard, featuring a marble checkerboard pool, elevated spa, covered lounge with wood-burning fireplace, and outdoor dining area with gas grill.



You'll also have access to a private gate leading to the little arm of Lake Cooper, perfect for turtle and bird viewing or fishing.



Driveway parking is available for up to 5 vehicles, including space for a trailered boat, with public boat landings just 5 minutes away.

    Our family had an amazing stay! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. We appreciated that enough towels were provided and beds were comfortable. The host was exceptionally welcoming and responsive. check in was smooth and stress free. Location was perfect. Safe, quiet, and close to everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

    Of note - the ice maker shoveled ice out the back and seemed to prevent the drawer from closing all the way. We loved the house.

    It literally looks like someone copy and pasted the entire Serena&Lily magazine into this house—every detail was so thoughtfully done. And that marble checkerboard pool? GORGEOUS. We’ve never seen anything like it at a residential property. We normally stay at resorts like Ritz or four seasons when we travel, but Charleston doesn’t really have many resorts that aren’t far from everything, so we decided to give this rental a shot, and man are we glad we did. The location is literally unbeatable. We loved walking maybe 15min to Shem Creek for cocktails (definitely go to Saltwater Cowboys - they had live music and such a fun scene). Trader Joe’s and another grocery store were just a few minutes away on foot, and it only took us 10 minutes to drive to Sullivan’s Island the one early morning we decided to hit the beach for a little adventure! On our last night we grabbed an Uber downtown around sunset and the sunset view while going over the Ravenel Bridge was probably the prettiest sunset I’ve ever sen in my life!!! It only took around 5 minutes to get to the bottom of the bridge… such an easy drive and AGAIN the views from the bridge are a must-see!The home itself felt like a private resort—between the marble pool, hot tub, and cozy outdoor fireplace truly felt like we rented a resort villa. Everything was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, fridge stocked with water bottles, 1000/10

    Close to everything you could ever need! The weather was beautiful so we walked to Shem Creek every night! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house is AMAZING. Will be staying again!
