Sweeping Bay Views, Room for all & a Hidden Door

Coos Bay, Oregon, United States

Summary:brbrSome houses are beautiful. Some are comfortable. This one is all that…. plus an adventure.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrWelcome to Secret Haven by the Sea: a welcoming 7-bedroom, 5-bath coastal retreat perched on the edge of the bay in Coos Bay, Oregon. This house is designed for one thing above all else: bringing people together in a place they'll never forget.brbrbrbrThe views hit you first. Floor-to-ceiling windows on two levels frame the bay like a living painting, and the sunsets here are the kind that make everyone put their phones down and just... watch. The great room is anchored by a gorgeous glass fireplace, with a sectional sofa big enough that no one gets left out. Upstairs, the family room is just as generous: 85 TV, foosball, games, books, deep comfortable seating, and doors that open onto the deck where the firepit and the bay view are waiting. This is a house that's beautiful and welcoming at the same time. The kind of place you walk into and immediately relax.brbrbrbrBut here's what makes Secret Haven truly unforgettable: somewhere in this house, there is a hidden door. Behind it lies a fully private garden suite with 2 bedrooms and a full bath. We've hidden clues throughout the home. It's up to your group to find them, solve them, and discover what's waiting on the other side. Most groups find it in about 30 mins. The laughter, the searching, the aha moment — it never gets old.brbrbrbrThis is not just a vacation rental. It's a memory you'll be talking about for years.brbrbrbr(But don’t worry: if you’re weary from the journey, we've also left clear directions to the door in case you need to skip the search.)brbrbrbrSecret Haven sleeps 16 across 7 beautiful bedrooms: five kings, a queen, and a bunk playroom that children will immediately claim as their kingdom. The playroom has two cabin-style bunkbeds with Alexa-controlled cloud and moon lighting that transforms the room into whatever your imagination decides it should be tonight. With five full baths, even the biggest groups move through mornings without a bottleneck.brbrbrbrOutside, the house is just as generous. The upper deck has a gas firepit and comfortable lounge seating with nothing between you and the bay. This is where the late-night conversations happen, the ones that go longer than planned. Below, a covered deck with an outdoor kitchen, seafood cooking station, and outdoor dining area makes a fresh crab feast feel like the obvious choice. Watch planes take off from the regional airport across the water; somehow always a delight. The whole property sits in a private gated community, peaceful and unhurried.brbrbrbrThe kitchen is fully equipped and built around a large quartz island that naturally becomes the center of everything; the place where people gather with coffee in the morning and linger with a glass of wine while dinner comes together. The kitchen has all the equipment needed to handle whatever the chef in your group is dreaming about.brbrbrbrAnd when you're ready to explore, Secret Haven puts you at the center of one of the most adventure-rich stretches of the Pacific Northwest. But the honest truth is that a lot of groups barely leave. The bay looks different every hour. The firepit runs late. The upstairs family room becomes headquarters. Someone is always starting another game, someone else is already back on the deck. The house has a way of holding people; pulling them toward the windows, back to the kitchen, out onto the deck again.brbrbrbrSecret Haven is built for families who want to do something together, not just near each other. For friend groups finally making that trip happen. For reunions and milestone birthdays and anniversaries that deserve a real setting. For anyone who wants their kids, or their own inner kid, to have a moment they'll carry with them.brbrbrbrThe bay is beautiful. The house is special. And somewhere, a door is waiting to be found.brbrbrbrCome find it.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrElockbrbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbr· Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area: massive coastal dunes, OHV riding, hiking, paddling, and wildlife, just minutes awaybrbrbrbr· Shore Acres State Park: dramatic cliffs, crashing waves, and beautiful gardens along the Cape Arago Highwaybrbrbrbr· Bastendorff Beach: surfing, fishing, seals, sea lions, and wide open sandbrbrbrbr· Golden & Silver Falls: two spectacular waterfalls (200 ft and 130 ft) about an hour inland, rarely crowdedbrbrbrbr· Bandon: golf, sea stacks, Old Town, fresh seafood, and Tony's Crab Shack, 30 minutes southbrbrbrbr· Oregon Coast Railriders: pedal a four-person rail quadricycle through the Oregon countryside near Coquille - a family favoritebrbrbrbr· Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area: wild Roosevelt elk in an open meadow, close by and always a hitbrbrbrbr· Downtown Coos Bay: farmers market, waterfront boardwalk, the Coos Art Museum, and great local foodbrbrbrbr· For the Golfers: Fly into Southwest Oregon Regional Airport and you're practically already here. With Bandon Dunes Golf Resort just 30 minutes south, home to five championship links courses and consistently ranked among the best golf destinations in the world, Secret Haven is the ideal base camp for a serious golf trip.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrOnly 1 dog is allowed in this home. Occupancy is limited to 16 people max.

Bay Cove Cottage A On the Bay Near Charleston

Coos Bay, Oregon, United States

Bay Cove Cottage A is one side of a rustic 1940s cottage duplex. Cottage A is closest to the highway, so there is road noise. It is a clean and cozy, brightly colored, 550 sq ft apartment with one bedroom and a fold-out couch in the living room. The kitchen and bathroom with shower are simple, and retain original vintage character. There is no stove or oven, but a microwave, skillet, a portable single burner rangette, for preparation of simple meals, and a refrigerator are provided in the kitchen. The vintage bathroom is small, with no tub and the shower has a small entry (16 inches wide). We are offering the cottages as the budget option of Bay Cove properties and offer few amenities. Cable TV is provided, wifi is available throughout, there is a full-sized refrigerator with ice maker, and a coin-operated laundry service in a separate room in the duplex. Cottage A is the side of the duplex next to Cape Arago Hwy, and has more road noise than Cottage B. There is no bay view from the apartment, but a small backyard and a small patio available for a spectacular view of the bay and Charleston harbor. A laundry room with tall table and chairs offers great bay views while enjoying coffee or a glass of wine, when the weather is not suitable for patio use. The owner's residence is nearby, on the same lot as the cottages, and may also be rented. We can direct you to easy bayshore access that requires a 500 foot walk along Cape Arago Hwy., or other easy bay access for clamming or crabbing within short driving distances.
