The road is gravel (not steep) but is very well maintained by the HOA, we have provided very detailed driving directions and proper signage as GPS is not fully accurate in the mountains. It is a 15 minute drive to town. While in the winter months - driving a 4 wheel drive vehicle would be recommended, no need in other seasons. If getting away from the crowds and enjoying a remote Great Smoky Mountain experience is your thing , you will love this place! The kitchen is extremely well equipped to prepare any meal. Built almost 50 years ago, this two-story cabin was completely renovated in 2021. We are located 40 miles from the Asheville airport, a short drive to the ski resort, Harrah's Casino and the Biltmore Estate. Hiking, biking and tubing are nearby. Relax on the two porches or enjoy s'mores at the fire pit. Spacious kitchen for cooking family meals; bathrooms on both levels and several gathering areas. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace (Seasonal October- March) or enjoy a puzzle in the nook. Easy access year-round, EV charger.brbrUpstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a full bath. We spent over a year renovating the entire cabin to bring it up to our high standards of what we would want to see in a short-term rental property. We hope you will enjoy spending time here as much as we do.brbrVacationing with your motorcycles We are motorcycle and trailer friendly! Our road is paved, and we have a wide, flat driveway to park and store your motorcycles and trailer. We can easily accommodate a 20’ trailer to make your stay worry free and enjoyable.brbrWe know that being in the mountains means you want to enjoy your time outside. We have set up several outdoor areas for you. Out front, our porch has Mountain Views and space to relax. We have feeders for hummingbirds, and they are daily visitors during the summer months! We have a game nook where you can gather to listen to classic records, put together puzzles or play board games. Our family room has a gas fireplace, a 50” television and plenty of room to relax after a long day of hiking, skiing or exploring. Our fully stocked kitchen has all the items needed to prepare a family meal, including a crock pot, bakeware and pots/pans and spices. brbrWe have parking available for 3 vehicles. If you are bringing a trailer, please message us prior to booking to determine if there will be space. Please do not block the driveway, garage.brbrOn-site we have an EV charger (50 amp) which is free for guests. If you are planning on using the charger, please message the host directly for the charger location and instructions. Outside we have a grill, corn hole boards and plenty of space to spread out at the fire pit. Our cabin overlooks the valley and there are views of several mountains. We have a desk area in the kitchen with a CAT 6 outlet for faster internet speeds. We provide starter toilet paper, paper towels and washer/dryer supplies. We welcome you with snacks and bottled water and coffee with cream/ sugar on your first morning with us. brbrWhen it’s time to cozy up to the fire pit, you can buy wood locally at Lowes or you can purchase wood from our log racks. We go on the honor system and accept Venmo payments for wood purchases ($5 for a bundle of 7 logs). Feel free to burn any downed limbs on the property, but do not cut live trees or shrubs. There is a hose next to the basement door to put out the fire at the end of the night.brbrMaggie Valley is centrally located, when you stay with us, you will be close to Smoky Mountain National Park, Asheville, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are about 45 minutes from the airport, making your arrival and departure easy. Maggie Valley has a number of restaurants, shops and activities for those days when you don't want to travel far from the cabin. We are about 10 minutes from the fairgrounds where there are many events and festivals for you to see throughout the year. Please be aware that some restaurants in Maggie Valley close early or have limited hours. It is always recommended to call ahead to verify they are open.brbrPlease Note:brGuests are expected to have read & be willing to honor house rules. No gatherings/parties allowed, only booked guests can be there at any time (unless discussed/approved by your host).brbrAt Creekside Cabin Rentals, we understand how important family is and we always welcome children. Being that this cabin is almost 50 years old, there are parts of the cabin that are not child proofed. We encourage parents to consider this when deciding to book our space. Parents, if you are traveling with children, please be aware of potential hazards and take responsibility for your child's safety. brbrYour hosts generally will not meet with you while you are staying at Creekside Cabin Rentals. However, we do stay in the detached garage apartment at times and are always available via the app for any issues that arise. In addition, our maintenance man lives next door and will address the rare issues that come up and need immediate attention. For our guest safety, we have exterior cameras facing the driveway, the front porch and away from the front and back doors.brbrPlease be aware we are in a mountainous area with no trash pickup. We have two trash cans for your use. Please remove any trash from the property that does not fit in the cans. The closest trash station is 30 Mauney Cove Road Waynesville NC, about 15 minutes away. Please be aware that the station is open Monday thru Saturday from 7:00am- 5pm. They are closed on Sundays and major holidays. brbrBeing that we are in a mountainous area, there is little access to Uber or Lyft. It is highly recommended that you rent a vehicle if you are traveling by plane. Our cabin is less than 1/4 mile from the main road, so access is easy year-round.
