The drive is worth it! The cabin is on the creek with all the amenities for a relaxing, fun stay. The cabin was one of the best stocked rentals we've stayed at, and the furnishings were very comfortable. The owner, Neil, was very communicative and thought of everything! We'll definitely be staying again.

Our stay at the Running Bear Falls cabin was absolutely incredible. Between the hot tub, the creek behind the house, & the convenient location, our family could have stayed for a week without running out of things to do. The cabin requires a 10 min drive along a gravel mountain road, but that only adds to the charm of feeling completely disconnected. Once on the main road, you are less than a min away from the Blue Ridge Parkway & Solo Falls. You're also about 10 mins from Maggie Valley (with it's nice little shops & restaurants), 20 mins from Cherokee, & 25 mins from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. My wife, daughters, & I all can't wait to return to Running Bear Falls asap.

We had a great time, it is So quiet and secluded! I do recommend 4-wheel drive and be sure to carry your food in for first couple days, as you will not want to leave when you get there! Thanks for letting us stay.

We absolutely fell in love with the cabin. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. The decorations and little touches made this cabin so inviting. Not only the inside was so cozy, but the outside was just as nice with the fire pit and the rushing stream. We brought our dogs and it was a pet paradise. They had so much fun playing in the stream. Loved hanging out on the porch in the rocking chairs for morning coffee and night time cocktails. Sleeping with the windows open was such a plus being able to listen to the rushing water down below. The hosts had the cabin fully stocked with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The drinking water was so incredible and we were able to fill several jugs to bring home with us. Grateful we found this cabin. Would definitely come back. Also , the communication from the hosts went very smoothly!!

The gravel road was rough (we drove a Honda sedan), but it was worth the drive to the cabin that was one of my favorites! We enjoyed the fire pit, the rushing creek, the area around the cabin - so woodsy and cozy! The cabin is decorated so cute and thoughtfully. Plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We will go back!

This place was awesome! Perfect sized cabin for my family if 5 and family dog! We used it a refreshing stopping point coming home from a cross country trip. And it was perfect, the sound of the creek really helped us relax and sleep soundly! We had fun exploring the area and even went tubing in nearby Bryson City and went hiking off the blue ridge parkway! Sitting on the porch and exploring the rushing creek was a fantastic! Thanks for letting us stay!

Gorgeous setting with flowing creek in backyard. You can enjoy the beauty of the mountains right there on the property. Easy walk from the house to the creek side fire pit, bench swing and picnic table.Home is spotless, well-appointed and everything is in working order. Kitchen and property are well stocked with cooking ware, tools and most anything you need (except the food of course). The hosts are efficient and effective communicators. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is great, well decorated and homey. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and good. The drinking water is superb, no after taste or odor. Best of all is the deck, overlooking Hornbuckle Creek. Most of our time was spent there, only coming inside after dark. The tech all worked via Starlink, with only slight buffering. Calls and texts were easy. The Creekside picnic and campfire area was difficult on our stay due to downed trees from recent storms. We had afternoon/evening showers everyday there, so campfires were out. Great Trip, beautiful area, awesome temperatures! The drive in is a bit difficult especially at first. 4wd would be nice, but not necessary.

The cabin was exactly what we had hoped for...clean, comfy, private, and creekside. There were only 3 of us, but we could easily have accommodated up to 3 more people, since the cabin has 2 bedrooms plus a loft space. The relaxing sound of the water was constant, whether we were indoors or out. The cabin had everything we needed including a kitchen with all the dishes and cooking utensils and basic seasonings we needed, which was great since we grilled out almost every night. The hot tub was fantastic. The location is close to many attractions less than an hour away. We enjoyed tubing the river in Cherokee, visiting the Biltmore estate, and hiking up to Kuwohi (formerly Clingmans Dome). We did not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but since it was summertime, it was not a problem. On our initial drive in to the neighborhood, I was a little concerned about the narrow and twisting gravel road. But by the end of our trip, we thought nothing of it and had shaved off minutes of drive time. Check in was simple, and communication with our hosts was quick and easy. I highly recommend this property.

We spent a week here for our 35th anniversary and this is by far the most beautiful property we have ever stayed on. The home is warm and inviting and furnished with everything you need, beautiful work throughout and lots of cool things to see. The mountain Laurel and rhododendrons were in full bloom and everything was so beautiful. The best part of this trip... The creek! Beautiful rushing Waters over Rock falls cascading through the property. We enjoyed the fire pit, Park style grill and picnic table, and the creekside, every day of our stay with the exception of one rainy day which we were actually hoping to see before we left. Neil and Shari have thought of everything you might possibly need during your stay. We can't wait to return to this property, there is so much to do in the area and if you don't feel like getting out, you have Paradise right at your feet! Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Stop scrolling: you've found the perfect cabin. It's extremely cozy, well stocked, quiet and hemmed by a picturesque stream. The owner is very responsive, the WiFi worked perfectly, the water stayed hot and everything was as comfortable as can be. The drive isn't too steep, but it is long, so grab what you want before you head up the mountain because you're not going to want to leave.

This is an incredible cabin on a serene mountain stream. We did several creek treks with the kids, swam under waterfalls, found salamanders and more. Rainy days were even fun under the large covered porch. Saw a mother bear with 2 cubs near the RBF Sunset View. Less than an hour’s drive each to Bryson City, Cataloochee and Clingman’s Dome.

The cabin was wonderful and very relaxing! We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching the hummingbirds and hearing the rush of water from the creek below. We built a fire and fixed smores with the items left for us by the host. My son and grandson loved playing in the creek. Will definitely visit again!!

Absolutely loved the cabin and the area. We even got to see a bear about 1/2 a mile from the cabin. I do recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the road leading to the cabin.
