When you are on the sound, stay away from grassy marsh areas as this is where they live. They wont bother you if you don`t bother them.br- No-see-ums: Looks like a flea but flies - best avoided by utilizing insect repellant.br- Biting flies: On days when the west winds have been blowing, they fly over from inland and a nuisance on the beach.
