Our secluded lot and open floor plan with lots of windows and glass doors brings the outdoors in. The views of the Smoky Mountains and Lake Fontana are priceless. Our house is very private as it sits on the top of the mountain on 60 acres of raw land is a mile off the beaten path . 4 wheel drive is recommend as the driveway is steep and winding. If you are looking for privacy this house is for you. The master is on the main floor. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. The basement space was a garage and converted into 2 bedrooms. This is a great space for teenagers. Our living room table converts into a pool table, ping pong and card table. The public Wilderness ramp is very close by. We have a hot tub and outdoor kitchen that is great to use especially in the fall/winter. There are 4 cable tv’s in the house and one outside on the porch. There is plenty of room for parking multiple vehicles. Hunting is not allowed on our property. There are some amazing hiking and bike trails nearby if you are looking for some excitement. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is about 30 minutes from house. They offer dining, zip lining and whitewater rafting. Kids love playing in the river there. River’s Edge restaurant has delicious food right on the river. I would recommend bringing your groceries with you as the closest grocery store is about 25 minutes away in Bryson city.

The local rec park is a less than a qtr mile away which has a public pool, skate park, walking trails, basketball courts, ball fields, and nice playground. brbrThe house is situated ideally between the town of Bryson City/Train and the National Park with tubing, waterfalls, and trails. Downtown Bryson City is less than a mile from the home and the National Park is roughly a mile.brbrThe garage and a small studio apartment behind it are not included. I use the garage for storage and man managing the property uses it for laundry. The studio apt behind the garage is totally separate from the main part of the house and its two large apts. I use the studio apt some and sometimes have friends and family stay there. During peak times we sometimes rent it.
