Hand-carved doors welcome you throughout. Truly a gourmet kitchen, you'll want for nothing. You'll have a small TV in the kitchen, and there is even a mug warming station for your coffee, tea, or Nespresso! The dining table is a custom work of art and seats up to ten guests. From the living room, enjoy the gas log fireplace while watching a movie or enjoying the view of the floor to ceiling glass walls.brbrOff the kitchen is a butlers kitchen and the laundry center. Two bedrooms are on the main level. Three steps lead you to the master King. There is a private deck, TV, and an amazing bathroom with custom tiled floors, enormous shower, and windows that fog at the push of a button. At the other end of the home, you'll find a bedroom with a King bed, a twin bed, and a trundle under the twin. brbrHead upstairs and find the twins room. There are a total of four twin beds; two beds with trundles under each. This room has it's own TV, as well. brbrThe lower level has two King bedrooms, each with a private full bath. There is a movie room with a large screen TV. The game room has a second movie and viewing area, as well as air hockey, foosball, darts, and a poker table.brbrOutside, there is room for all to enjoy. The back deck has a modern gas log fireplace and grill. On the front side, lined by giant boulders, there is a wood-burning fire pit, seating, and a walkway to the brand new hot tub. Each room has been carefully designed and furniture curated with guests in mind. The seven bedrooms sleep a maximum of twenty guests with five full bathrooms across three levels (two on the top, two on the middle, and one on the bottom). The top floor has its a primary suite with a queen bed and attached full bathroom. Also on the top floor, guests will find two bunk rooms, each sleeping four guests over four twin beds. The second bunk room can be found hiding behind a hidden door that masquerades as a book case. brbrOn the main level, guests will enjoy a luxurious primary suite with an enormous wet room, complete with dual showers and a soaking tub. In addition to the primary suite on the main level, guests will find another bedroom with a queen bed. Next to the Watauga River, guests can enjoy the idyllic setting outside or spend time in the newly renovated inside. The main level offers dining in the formal room, with additional seating in the breakfast table and the counter. There is a gorgeous kitchen with matte steel appliances and granite counters, both Keurig and drip coffee, and easy access to the dining or living rooms. Near the front entrance is a half bath for convenience. Off the living area is the primary bedroom with a king bed and Roku TV. The attached full bathroom has a tiled tub/shower combination with jets and granite counters.brbrHead upstairs and you'll find two wings, each with two bedrooms and a shared bath between them in the hallway. To one side, a queen bedroom and a full over full bunk room with a twin trundle. To the other side of the home, a queen bedroom and a twin over full bunk room that includes a twin trundle. Each of the full bathrooms upstairs has a tub/shower combination and beautiful granite counters. Between the two wings is a large loft, set up as a great space for the family. There is a daybed with trundle to one side with a TV. The opposite side has a twin over twin bunk. For the littlest ones, the loft has a train table for hours of play. Cut down on your packing knowing that tucked in a closet are a high chair, bouncer, baby gates, and a portable crib.brbrOutside, the deck has been renovated and leads down to the grounds. Here you'll find the hot tub and stone patio with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs surrounding it. Explore the yard and walk to the Watauga River ten yards away. All bedding and bath linens are new and sparkly white. Enjoy! brbrThe cottage is so peaceful and quiet, you may never want to leave. However, if you do, the local area offers quite a bit to do, all year long. In the summer, enjoy floating down the Watauga River, paddle boarding on Julian Price Lake, or renting a boat and swimming in Watauga Lake. If hiking is your thing, enjoy countless hiking trails around the area that offer spectacular views for all levels of hiking. Pack a lunch and enjoy the afternoon trail side. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.br- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.br- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all mountain homes, although the driveway is nearly flat and paved. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.br- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.br- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.brbrCANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
