It sleeps 8 with 4 bedrooms: 2 with queens and 2 with twins. There are 2 Full Baths and 2 Half Baths + a fabulous hot water outdoor shower. (No big parties please because the septic system will not handle those crowds.) brbrThere is a high-end new kitchen. Everything has been updated with modern mechanicals while trying to maintain the delightful historic architectural feel. This includes all newer plumbing and most of the electrical. (Note: This is not the house for you if you need uber-modern, austere, sterile, white walls and glass.) This house oozes natural historic character both inside and outside. It is a good idea to enable your cell phones to use Wi-Fi Calling. brb) There are 2 TVs attached to cable with lots of stations; Channel 12 is local Long Island news. brc) You are welcome to bring an Apple TV-like device to watch Netflix, etc. brd) You can also bring Amazon Alexa-like devices. bre) There is a HP Printer-Scanner with 8 ½ x11 paper, data cable, and the software disk is in the desk drawer. brf) All the bedrooms are on central air conditioning which has a significant trickle-down cooling effect on the first floor, too. Each bedroom has a table-top fan.brbrSupplies & Services that are provided: bra) The cleaning staff will put out an initial supply of facial tissues, toilet paper, heavy-paper dinner napkins, a big container of clothes washer pods, a box of dishwasher pods, plenty of aluminum foil, and plastic wrap. I can schedule mid-stay or even weekly house cleanings at cost.brb) There are spices in the cabinet over the gas stove. brc) The big Weber gas grill will have propane gas with an extra tank in the garage. brd) There is a detailed PDF inventory of furnishings and kitchen equipment. bre) At the beach are 3 chaise longues and a big sea chest with chairs, kids’ beach toys, umbrellas, etc. brf) Down by the beach are 2 one-person kayaks; use at your own risk.brg) Included in the rent is that North Fork Sanitation will pick up the trash (but you must use the provided special yellow bags; pick up is once a week (usually a Tuesday early morning) but can be expanded to twice a week if you need it; the trash man opens the garage door, so don’t lock that door.brh) The lawn cutters come irregularly, dependent on when it rains and how high the grass is. bri) Firewood is stored in a chest beside the garage. Make sure the spring-operated chain-pull fireplace damper is released so the smoke goes up the chimney.brbrFINANCIAL:brA) If you rent by the month or more, then you will be billed for electricity; otherwise, all utilities are included.brB) If you stay less than a month, then Suffolk County has a 5.5% tax. Unique Southold waterfront luxury home with heated pool on Long Creek

We bought our wonderful house five years ago and have made many important renovations. The newest is a hybird bocce court/putting green, next to our new gunite, inground, solar-heated, salt-water swimming pool with hot tub, slide and basketball hoop. They're built and ready for fun. We also paved the gravel driveway. It's now asphalt with two additional parking spaces on the side.brbrSome of the previous upgrades include solar power, full house air conditioning, a brand new master bed/bath, new decks in the front and back, a rear deck pergola, new rear deck furniture, new window shades throughout the house, central vacuum, a new panoramic kitchen window and door, a new Celestron telescope, a new Bosch dishwasher, major upgrades to the goldfish/koi pond, a new second floor washer/dryer, a newly tiled Jack & Jill bathroom, a 220V Tesla charger and 110V outlets for electric car charging in the garage. brbrThree years ago we added a new 3-bed raised vegetable and flower garden. You'll be able to pick a fresh tomato or zucchini for your salad. We also finished painting the front porch, rear deck, pergola and swing. Then we removed two kitchen cabinets and the window to create the space for a gigantic panoramic window and door. The view from the kitchen is now breathtaking. Last year's improvements were the addition of a panoramic bay window in the TV room. We now have a wall of glass to view the backyard and the creek. We also rebuilt the gazebo and screened it in with a new roof and new railing.brbrOur house has some very unique characteristics. It is very large, with two master bedrooms, equally wonderful, but different. The first one has a new bathroom with a large multi-directional spray shower and a double sink that rests on an 1880 French dresser. The second master bedroom has a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a combination tub/shower and a personal dressing table. brbrThe swimming pool is the hub of activity in the backyard. The kids use the helical slide again and again and the basketball hoop is great fun. The side yards are big and good for children to run around and play while you BBQ out back or sip a cocktail on the deck or in the heated spa. You also have free use of the canoe.brbrDownstairs there are two bedrooms, each with separate full baths, one being a newly tiled Jack and Jill connecting bathroom. One bedroom has a regular-sized crib, a portacrib and a pack-n-play. There is plenty of closet space as well.brbrUpstairs also includes an office with a view of the creek. It has a convertible sofa, which I didn't list as a fifth bedroom, but could function as one.brbrSome of the more unique features are a library with a spiral staircase, that leads to a large children’s playroom above the garage (which includes a wonderful set of Lionel electric trains and a dollhouse). Adjacent to the library is a TV room with comfy chairs.brbrThe eat-in kitchen has all the standard and luxury amenities, including a new gas range, a new Bosch dishwasher, a microwave, a blender and a Keurig machine.brbrThere are very few bugs and mosquitoes (not none, but few). We sit on the back deck, with a glass of wine, until the sun goes down and don’t need bug spray. And we just added an outdoor ceiling fan that is very refreshing while blowing any bugs away. There's also a covered, two-seat swing next to the creek; a good spot to watch the ducks, swans and geese swim by. When it's quiet, you'll see deer and wild turkeys visit the property.brbrThe house is special and mainly for our family’s use, so we ask you to take good care of it. It's on a very quiet residential street, with very few cars. You'll be right in the middle of wine and farm country and right next to Greenport. The Orient Point Ferry to Connecticut is only 19 minutes away (possible day trips include a visit to Mohegan Sun). The south fork of Long Island is a hop and a skip away via Shelter Island ferries.brbrbr

There is a large table with 6 chairs.(has an extra leaf to fit more seats) Out in the yard is a heated built in pool and cababna. The pool is open generally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.l The cabana has a window that opens up to a bar with barstool on the outside area. Inside the cabana is a full size oven, refrigerator. The washer and dryer are also located in the cabana. This house also comeswith a BBQ grill, plenty of outdoor seating. Situated on an acea with 250 feet on Cedar Creek . There is also a dock to fit a boat or jet skis etc. A great place to kayak, paddle board, go out in a canoe or row boat. You can also walk to the beautiful beach that is only about 200 yards away. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of sun and swimming along with all sorts of water and beach activities and later watch the sunset. br brSpend the day away, enjoying nearby attractions such as going into the town of Greenport with many great restaurants and shops. You can take a day fishing trip or ride the carousel.  Take a ride over to Shelter Island via the ferry.
