A large deck runs the width of the back of the house.brOur house is located on a block with beach access, one block East of the ferry dock– convenient to the shops restaurants, and the beach. brbrThe house was built in 1908 and has been owned by my family since 1970. It is charming, very clean, and has all amenities; you don't need to bring a thing. Just come and enjoy your vacation.brbrUpstairs;brThe master bedroom is larger than most NYC apartments; with a kind size bed, a dressing area with a large skylight, and a beautiful porch with two day beds, a flat screen tv , ceiling fans and large roll down windows facing north, south and west. Soft, super clean, quality bedding is on all beds. This is my favorite place in the house to take a nap, enjoy the breeze listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach.brbrThe second upstairs bedroom has two full beds, and the third upstairs bedroom has a set of twins. Both bedrooms have two exposures, soft, clean bedding, ceiling fans and flat screen televisions. There are lace curtains on all of the windows, including the upstairs bathroom, which offers a bath tub and a shower.brbrDownstairs;brThe fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a set of twin beds, soft clean bedding, two exposures and a flat screen television. There is a second bathroom downstairs which offers another shower, and can be entered from inside or outside of the house.brbrThe kitchen/living/dining room is open and airy – and perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could need, and in multiple sizes. There are enough utensils, cups & plates for 12 people. Everything you need is at your fingertips. There are multiple ceiling fans, and all of the lights are on dimmers. There is a flat screen television in the living room.brbrThe inside dining table seats eight people, and should you want to dine al fresco; head to the back deck!brbrThe back deck is large and private with a large Weber BBQ, dining table for six, chaise lounges, chairs with ottomans and stategically placed cocktail tables to hold your glass of rose' or lemonade.brThe crowning jewel of the deck is the beautiful outdoor shower; it is open air and very large. It has a built in bench, many shelves and plenty of room to store all of your bathing essentials. brbrAfter a long day at the beach head to the screened-in front porch to bask in the late afternoon sun. There is another dining table that seats four, and two perfectly placed hammocks where you can recharge your batteries while enjoying the breeze, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline.brbrThe house is equipped with a large sturdy wagon, several beach chairs & beach umbrellas, boogie boards and plenty of beach towels, There are also four bicycles, including a trike useful for shopping in town and carrying packages. brbrOur house is the place where our family spends time together, and creates ever lasting Fire Island memories. The living room/dining room area has a vaulted ceiling and three large picture windows, which afford great views from the living room and fill the area with an abundance of natural light. There are also multiple recessed lights and a large ceiling fan. The dining area has a solid maple gate-leg table that is kept folded to seat 4, but can be expanded with the use of a leaf to accommodate 10-12. The living room/dining room area also has a bamboo game table that seats 4.brbrMASTER BEDROOM:brbrThe spacious master bedroom features a plush CozyPure Full Latex king-sized mattress on a Henredon natural oak platform bed. There is a 55” Samsung Class 8 UHD 4K Smart TV with soundbar, a DVD player, and Direct TV satellite service in this room, as well as a clock radio with an Ipod dock. There is also an ensuite bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, and sliding glass doors opening onto the rear deck. The master bath has a vanity with Corian counter top and sink and a large walk-in glass enclosed shower, tiled with sea glass accents and with a Kohler brushed nickel rain shower head. The furnishings include a large double dresser, wall mirror, and full-length door mirror. There is a quiet ceiling fan as well in this room.brbrTHREE ADDITIONAL BEDROOMS:brbrThere are three additional spacious bedrooms that provide sleeping for 6 with plush Caspar Hybrid mattresses and luxurious linens. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a tall maple dresser and an end table. The two remaining bedrooms have two twin beds in each room and a night stand between the beds. One of the bedrooms has a relaxing contemporary easy chair. Each bedroom has solid maple dressers with wall mirrors, a large closet with a full-length mirror on the door, and a ceiling fan.brbrMAIN BATHROOM:brbrThe main bath features a porcelain tub and Kohler brushed nickel rain shower head, and sand colored wall tiles accented with opalescent glass. The vanity has a Corian sink and counter top. brbrOUTDOOR DECK:brbrWe greatly expanded our rear deck to full capacity in 2023 allowing space for entertainment, games and relaxation, including 4 lounge chairs and 3 umbrellas. We also added a NewAge outdoor kitchen featuring a fully operable sink, refrigerator and a 40 grill with lots of cabinet storage. The 8'x8' shed is now accessible from the deck and has full complement of beach chairs, umbrellas and other accessories. The spacious outdoor shower and changing room is also brand new with lots of marine grade hooks to store your things.
