The kitchen offers a coffee machine, fresh coffee, and a beautiful sitting space to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while watching the deer pass by in the early morning. The rear balcony has a dining table and bench along with fresh herbs for your cooking pleasure. There is a small fire pit at the rear of the house you are welcome to use, but be mindful of dry season regulations. Also, there is a baby pen and bassinet for families traveling with infants. You may meet some deer munching on the grass, or spot tracks from a foraging bear or other natural wildlife. Frogs and toads aplenty, can be found hanging out by the pond. During spring and summer, you most probably will hear plenty of their croaking if you venture over and the splashing as they slide into the water. After rain or winter, dress shoes are not a great choice out on the grass; it is the rural mountains with real earth, puddles and sometimes wet muddy areas next to pond. Watery times No worries, a makeshift Girl Scout path of pieces, planks and stepping stones offers a way to the bright red bridge over to the island. But do watch your step. brOut on the island or pond side, take in the forest around you and natural scene. You may be able to spot some of the little fish underwater or weather conditions may cast a blue or green masking over the water depending on the time of year.
