This bedroom also has a gorgeous original stonework and shiplapped walls with vaulted ceilings and beams. brbrThird bedroom has 3 twin beds with a twin bunk bed in loft above stairs, dresser, ceiling fan, walk in closet and shiplapped vaulted ceiling with beams.brbrUpstairs consists of two bedrooms, second floor laundry, and a powder room. Original cottage had an open loft upstairs. It continues to have the open loft feel which we love. It now has two bedrooms but the bedrooms have NO doors. Openings to doors can accommodate curtains for privacy if so desired which are located in the master bedroom closet. Both bedrooms have large walk in closets that serve also as changing areas with drapes for privacy. First floor bedroom/tv room also has glass pocket door separating from living room. This room serves as a casual tv room as well as extra sleeping quarters. However, the door is not privacy glass. Views from every bedroom window of the beautiful lake!brbrThis property is located near Penn Yan for easy trips to the grocery store, wineries, golf, antique shops and local events. It is situated near Keuka College. Enjoy long walks and relaxation on this lakefront property. You will fall in love with the area, the views, the lake and this very special place. It is a magical place to make special family memories.brbrImportant Info- Please read:brbr*The gas grill runs on propane. Please check propane tank upon arrival to avoid any disappointment at meal time as well as before your departure for the next guest. We try to replace tank regularly but there could be an instance it may need replacement. If so, you will need to bring to Byrne Dairy in Penn Yan approximately 10 mins away to swap out the tank. Swapping out the tank runs around $23. We ask each guest to be courteous to the next and swap out the tank if it was used, empty or close to empty. Ultimately, this will be each guests responsibility.brbr** Spring/Fall guests please note the dock is a temporary dock and gets installed/removed by a service which is at the mercy of Mother Nature. The dock service determines when this will be installed and removed due to weather. The dock is brought out and left on shore making the beach front unusable. brbr***Our dock can not accommodate 2 boats due to the L -shape. If our boat is docked there another boat can not be docked. Our boat lift (not pictured) may not accommodate your boat. In the event our boat is NOT docked there, permission is needed to bring or dock your boat. This one-of-a-kind rustic, seasonal cottage is nestled off the end of the private extension of East Bluff Drive on a level lakeside lot. There is no drive-by traffic and no visible neighbors to one side of this lot (but the home is accessed by a VERY steep driveway and 4WD is recommended).brbrA warm and inviting space greets you as you enter the home into the kitchen. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a glass cook top stove, and granite countertops (please note that there is no d/w). You can enjoy the beautiful gas fireplace as you prepare meals and gather with your family and friends. Just off the kitchen is a full bath with tub/shower combo. Two more separate living areas, both tastefully furnished, provide enough space for the entire family to relax. A beautiful set of pine barn doors add an eclectic touch, and can be closed for privacy if the adults wish to gather in one space to chat and enjoy a glass of Finger Lakes wine, as the children play or watch a movie in the third living room. brbrA staircase off of this room leads to a private bedroom on the 2nd floor. This bedroom features a Queen size bed, and a great view of the lake. The second staircase leading to the 2nd floor is located off the kitchen. The other three bedrooms are located on this side of the house. There are two queen bedrooms; one of the queen bedrooms features a small TV with a DVD player. We like to use the third floor for the kids; it has a queen bed and four singles; here, they have privacy and a cozy space to themselves. You can enjoy the view of the lake from all three bedrooms! A full bath with shower is conveniently located to these bedrooms on the second floor. brbrThe lakefront at this property is unlike any other, and where you will want to spend most of your time! With two gradual entrances to the lake, you can wade in the shallow water and children can enjoy the perfect spot for splashing and swimming. A picnic table is located lakeside, where you can gather for meals or a game of cards. Bring your fishing poles. You can fish off the dock, or take the kayak (kayak only available May 15-September 30) out and enjoy the scenery. Relax in the Adirondack chairs and tell stories around a campfire. Watch for shooting stars under the clear night’s sky. Just minutes from local restaurants, wineries and shops, yet set in a location where you can privately enjoy your vacation, O’Cottage is the vacation destination you have been waiting for!brbrThe cottage was renovated in 2005 and is lovingly maintained and updated each year. This is a smoke-free and pet-free home. The property is located in a wooded area on the edge of a lake, which may result in the presence of insects and wildlife on the premises and participates in a preventative pest control program.brbrWhile there is a lot of information here (sorry!), satisfied and informed guests are the goal! Please read this thoroughly and the attached rental agreement and ask any questions before booking, as this is a non-refundable reservation. Consider the purchase of travel insurance for your protection. brbrOur cottage is equipped with a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap. The spacious custom Kitchen has beautiful granite, a huge Kitchen Island, views out over the vineyards and a slice of lake beyond, and a great little coffee nook area. The Kitchen and Dining room are an open space, a few steps up from the main entry door and the Living Room. There are patio doors from the Dining area out onto the gracious deck which has a large outdoor dining table as well as a smaller bar set for enjoying your morning coffee. The sunlight from the patio doors spills into the Kitchen making it a cheerful and lightfilled room.brbrJust steps down from the Kitchen and Dining area (this part of the house resembles a split level), and just inside the front door, is a large open Living Room area. The Living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a gas burning fireplace, and built in benches. There is a small desk nook in the Living Room if you did need to bring work with you.brbrUp on the same level as the Kitchen and Dining area, there are two bedrooms and a full bath. Each bedroom has a Queen bed and the full bath has a lovely quartz walk-in shower.brbrOn the lower level, just steps down from the Living Room, there are 2 additional bedrooms both with Queen beds as well. The house has a large wrap-around deck, as well as the patio area, with plenty of options for seating and enjoying the outdoors. There is a large gas grill on the back patio, just off the Kitchen and the deck. The yard around the house meets the vineyards on 3 sides and you'll love seeing the different seasons reflected in the growth of the vineyards as well as the wildlife that lives in the rural countryside. Be sure to visit the Vineyard View winery just a short walk up the hill from the house! Keuka State Park is just 5 minutes away and you can dock a boat at the park, swim in the swim area, or picnic along the lake.brbrWhispering Vines is just a short 5 minute drive from the Village of Penn Yan as well and you can catch our local eateries and coffee shops there.
