We are located on a quiet road close to Cayuga Lake, Downtown Ithaca, Cornell University, Ithaca College, Waterfalls, and Wineries. We are also convenient to Cayuga Medical Center, Trumansburg, Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake. For you golfers, we are located across the road from Hillendale Golf Course! brbrThis 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment has a private entrance with keyless entry and covered parking (a plus when it rains or snows!). The apartment has only one step into the unit, the unit is entirely on one level once inside. Enjoy the full kitchen, in unit washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and Smart TV for you to connect to your streaming services. The unit offers a queen bed in the main bedroom and a full bed in the second bedroom, as well as cozy living room with a futon for extra comfort and an additional sleeping space. A portable AC unit is provided in the summer, set up in the living area. Please note for the bedrooms to be cooled the doors must be left open. There are also ceiling fans in the living area and main bedroom and a box fan for the second bedroom to keep you cool in the summer (we generally have cool evenings). The bathroom features a bathtub/shower and a hair dryer for your convenience. Many of the furnishings are upcycled from items from local restore stores, college sales, and free finds. brbrOutside there's an outdoor seating area with a table and chairs for the exclusive use of our guests. Key Cottage is the keystone of the New Park property. It's homey, cozy, and private. It has many signature New Park elements, such as stained glass, incredible stonework, and incredibly rare Brazilian purpleheart floors, with a splash of Padouk wood. brbrKey is not without its quirks. The quirks quickly grow on you - the angles of the ceiling, the plethora of doors and windows...it will soon feel like home. And when you go home, you'll wonder why all your windows aren't circular, why your floor isn't purple, and why you don't have an outside door in your bathroom. brbrKey Cottage has a queen sized bed and a click-clack lay down couch. Key Cottage is a studio set-up - the couch is in the same room as the bed. brbrThe cottage also has a full kitchen witha large fridge, oven, stove, and sink. It also has coffee (super important) and wine glasses. Lots of counter space too....wayyyy more than you need, but if you take a step back, you'll realize that the island in the center of the room is in the shape of a keyhole and it will all make sense. brbrThe sitting area is cozy with a couch, a couple of chairs, some poufs, and a fuzzy rug. Then, when you walk through the keyhole shaped door, you'll find a large dining table. There will be some locked cabinets in here, but you won't care. The cottage has heat (including a fireplace) and AC. brbrThe bathroom has everything! Large counter, walk-in shower and...what everyone needs in their bathroom...a door to the outside world! It's weird! But at one point in time, New Park allowed camping, and that was the camper's bathroom, so it did exist for a reason. We kept it because when you're unloading groceries it's just SO easy to nip through the bathroom than run all the way around the cottage. So there you go! brbrKey is a standalone cottage and is dog-friendly. We do ask that you cover the furniture with an old sheet if your dog gets up on furniture. brbrNote: We are a chore-free property! brbrWe have to also tell you a bit about New Park! New Park is an 18 acre property just north of Ithaca. It was originally a roadside motel, but in the 90s, every room was transformed into a work of art. Stained glass, handcrafted stonework, and incredible woodwork laces every single room. There is one room called the Wish Room which has a wood burning fireplace in the middle of the room. New Park also has an event space and a picnic area by a creek that is so beautiful that people get married there almost every weekend of summer. brbrNew Park also has a total of 7 suites and can sleep up to 22 people across them, so bring some family and friends with you! Most Cayuga Lake cabins are 20-35 miles away from the Ithaca attractions.brbrWe live in the large house on the property but your parking, entrance, beachfront, etc., are all private, we rarely cross paths with the folks in the cabin. We also rent the main house when we are out of town which can hold 8-10 guests.brbrPlease note that the west shore of the lake in Ithaca is a very steep hillside. Our beautiful 1 bedroom apartment is the downstairs of our family home located in a quiet, family friendly culdesac, close minutes from downtown, shopping, routes 79, 89 and 96! As mentioned, our family occupies the upstairs unit and we’re a couple in our 30’s with two little boys. The apartment is a fully remodeled 950 sq ft., fully furnished apartment, new appliances, with a beautiful kitchen and spacious bedroom and bathroom. This spacious apartment is extremely clean and well appointed with high quality materials. It is well insulated and toasty warm in winter! Heat is provided by a beautiful and cozy natural gas furnace that is completely safe and vents to the outside. It is connected to a thermostat that is up to you to control. Hallway and bedroom both have heat provided by electric baseboards, also for you to control with thermostats. AC is a window unit, located in the spacious bedroom, only - but it is fully functioning and does the job of keeping the apartment cool. We provide a smart TV for our guests in both the bedroom and the living room, but we ask that you use your own netflix/hulu login, though WiFi is included. We do not provide cable TV. Lawn is always well cared for, whether it is summer or winter time! Bedroom is fully furnished with a queen size bed with an adjustable base that includes a USB plug and night light, and we do offer a mini crib with a thick crib mattress safe for your little one. A queen size air mattress is available in the unit as well for an additional guest. We have included a sound machine for an even more comfortable rest! Living room has two couches and a large smart TV, which could mean more sleeping room for those accompanying you! Dining room table seats 4 and the brand new kitchen has full size appliances including the french door refrigerator with a built in ice maker. Bathroom has a large vanity and lots of storage space and a dual magnetic shower head with a tub. We do have exterior Arlo security cameras on site, as well, for everyone’s safety and soundness. One is located in the front to monitor the parking area and the culdesac, the other is located in the back by the entrance but definitely facing away from the entrance door! In addition to all the amazing amenities we offer with our beautiful private apartment, we’ve placed plenty of family games in the living room for you to enjoy! In 2021 an energy conscious renovation winterized the rustic buildings and tied them together with a new kitchen, a second bathroom, and three bedroom addition. brbrThe building is a showcase for the skills of local artist and blacksmith, Duran Van Doren, who designed and crafted the lights, fixtures and deck railing. It is located on the crest of the hill overlooking the valley with really stunning views. With stone and sod roofs, windows all around, and a deck cantilevered out over the hill, nature feels very close at hand.brbrFully insulated and climate controlled the hilltop house is more comfortable than ever - though guests are still encouraged to enjoy the hilltop breezes for cooling. An efficient glass fronted wood stove becomes the focal point of the living area on chilly nights.brbrA highlight of the house is view from the 1,200 sq. ft. deck furnished with a stone table with chairs for six on the east side, a thickly cushioned loveseat, cocktail table, and two big comfy armchairs on the north side. There is a Weber gas grill on the northeast corner of the deck between the dining area and the sitting area.brbrThe living room is constructed of logs and hemlock beams with a rustic stone roof. The north wall has two large floor-to-ceiling arched glass windows set in hemlock frames and a glass-paned door leading out to the deck, while the other main cabin walls are made of stone for the first three feet with screened windows which open out 100 degrees continuing up to the roof line. brbrThe kitchen area is defined by stone countertops with a carved bluestone sink. It is furnished with full size appliances - refrigerator/freezer, range top and oven, wall oven. Small appliances include an electric kettle and a large Breville microwave oven. There also are dishes, utensils, glasses, mugs, and pots and pans.br brThe hilltop house offers sleeping for up to eight. There are two bedrooms with superior queen size beds and a third bedroom with 2 new twin beds. The entire main home is yours complete with two acres of grounds and gardens to enjoy, perfectly located walking distance to Cayuga Lake, Cass Park and downtown. brbrThe Tower House is a Victorian family home built in 1879 and brought back to be a welcoming single family home in 2021. You'll find it to be a convenient and comfortable base for exploring the Finger Lakes as well as a great space for entertaining and events. There is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with casual dining spaces as well as a formal dining room that seats 12. The main floor has sitting rooms, a half bath and two covered porches perfect for morning coffee with the deer and birds or an evening cocktail watching fireflies. brbrThe large common rooms give you plenty of room to spread out or gather, all with stunning views day and night out from the floor to ceiling windows. The wood stove in one of the downstairs sitting rooms is super cozy on snowy nights and the downstairs queen bedroom with a nearby half bath is nice for guests who prefer no stairs.brbrThe upper floor opens onto another spacious sitting room, along with 3 large bedrooms. Two of the rooms have king beds, one has a queen and there are two full baths (one with a jetted soaking tub large enough for two). The upstairs sitting room has a tv and a board game space, as well as extra sleeping space if needed. There is a full sized day bed in a charming nook at the base of the tower that converts to another king sized bed when needed and has a privacy curtain separating it from the rest of the upstairs that tucks away when not needed. brbrThe grounds include ample parking, a stone patio off one of the porches, an outside eating area with bbq, two firepits with plenty of wood along with spacious yards and gardens to explore. There are views across the lake to Cornell and Ithaca College. The waterfront recreation path and Cass Park with the Children's Garden and sports center are a 15 min walk, as are many downtown Ithaca destinations. brbrThe house is located on the Cayuga Lake Wine trail and a short drive to Taughannock Falls State Park, Trumansburg and countless other waterfalls, hikes and amazing local restaurants. We have an Empire Pass at the house for guests use which covers parking and entry to the local state parks, which we hope encourages everyone to get out and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Finger Lakes!brbrWe are open to stays greater than 30 days and have special pricing to reflect that, please contact owners for more information. brbrThe entire main house and grounds are yours for your stay.
