Dramatic Lakefront Timberframe Home

Had a lovely stay at the Timberframe lakefront home this past week. It's a fabulous home from top to bottom, well uplifted. luxurious and comfortable. What a great escape!

The house is superb, beautifully furnished and perfectly up-fitted with everything a guest could want/need. The architecture is fabulous and finishes, fixtures and appliances are high end, resulting in luxe comfort in every room. Outdoor porches, patios and the hot tub are an extra bonus....and views of the lake and access to the dock is easy. Great for a group of friends, family or a couple. We loved our stay!

We very much enjoyed our time at this home. The home is as advertised and much nicer than any of the other rental options in the area.

Simply put: the house lived up to all its photos and the owner (Rob) was friendly, accessible, and helpful. It was one of the best houses (if not the best) we've rented on VRBO and hope to return for subsequent college reunions. We were several couples with kids and the house had more than enough space, an enormous kitchen and outdoor grill for BBQ-ing, and a beautiful dock on the lake for early morning kayaking and fishing. Thank you, Rob! An amazing stay!

A lovely respite

This is a spectacular lakefront home on Cayuga Lake (Finger Lakes). It was expensive, but the home is beautiful and spacious with 5 beautiful bedrooms and a large hot tub. The fifth bedroom has 4 bunk beds for kids. I believe every room can view the lake, which is just a short walk out the backyard and down the steps to a perfect dock with Adirondack chairs. Pure serenity. The internet is fast with 75Mbps download & 15 MBps upload. They also have Amazon Prime, Apple TV & Hulu. My only minor complaint was that they have cut the cord to Network/Cable TV. We visited during the Olympics, so it was a bit tough to watch network TV. The owner is very responsive and very helpful. This is his home and he takes great pride in it. This home is a 5-star beauty. Fantastic home on the Finger Lakes.

We chose this house in order to explore the finger lake areas and couldn't have been happier with our choice. First, the house is beautiful. Incredibly peaceful in its setting, obviously new (and modern) construction, fantastic gathering spaces (indoor and outdoor), with great access to the lake. Sometimes its tough to find a place that can please all ages in a party, but this place certainly did a great job with its large chef's kitchen, incredible decks, and downstairs game/TV room. The toughest part was deciding to leave the house in order to explore the area. The owners were great. Very easy check in. Flexible and generous in arrival/departure times. And the house is immaculate. Not sure the next time we will be out that way, but we would definitely rent here again if we find ourselves in the area. Thanks so much.

This house is stunning. It has the perfect mix of elegance, beauty and attention to every detail—while at the same time, feels like the warmth and comfort of a home. I cannot say enough nice things about the host, Rob. The house is very high tech, and whenever I had a question, he responded immediately and with kind helpfulness. This property beats any five star hotel (and I grew up in the business)! The decor is beautiful and welcoming. I loved the hot tub with the lakeviews—and once I mastered the digital coffee maker, I looked forward to my coffee every morning overlooking Cayuga Lake. I would most definitely stay again—I can’t wait! Thank you Rob and family!

This beautiful, accommodating and spacious home over delivered for a truly wonderful getaway. The owners of this custom build timber-frame home didn't leave a detail out. There is ample room to spread out for privacy and play. The kitchen is a cooks dream, offering high end appliances, cookware and utensils. The oversized island offered the perfect spot for gathering, meals and conversation. Our family thoroughly enjoyed starting and ending our days in the custom built hot tub, and cuddling up for movie nights in the theater room. Our children are young, so they also enjoyed having access to a kids play/bunkroom. The home is just a short drive into Ithaca as well as numerous hiking trails and parks, so it was easy to go back and forth throughout the day. To make this stay even better, the owners were incredibly accommodating and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed at every point in our stay to make it as great as it could be. While this particular home is an investment, I believe it's well worth the money. It would be a wonderful space for multiple families or couples to gather. I can't recommend this home enough.
