Very private 3,000 square foot, 5 bedroom, 4 full bath, 1 half bath house with a heated pool in a prime location, just beyond the western edge of East Hampton Village in Dune Alpin. We are close to ocean beaches, East Hampton Village, the LIRR station, The Hampton Jitney stop, restaurants, movie theater, grocery stores, shops and amenities and a 10 minute walk to Red Horse Farm market. This spacious traditional-style home sits on a 3/4 acre on a quiet road in an area which was formerly a working farm surrounded by over 100 acres of preserved land and pastures in a serene setting.brUpon entering the house, you will be greeted by stunning open, airy space with high vaulted ceiling. There is an elegant living room with plenty of space and a wood burning fireplace to relax in front of with friends and family. A hallway leads to a private, spacious master bedroom suite with a vaulted ceiling that features a king-size bed, walk-in closet, sitting area, en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, and direct access to the patio. Also on the main level is another bedroom that can double as an office, den or media room depending on your needs with its own en-suite bathroom. See below for pricing.). brbrThere's a large kitchen with plenty of storage and a dining table that seats 10. The sunlight-filled great room is an open space with a gas fireplace, and glass sliding doors that lead onto the deck and spacious pool area. The deck has a dining table and chairs seating 8, a Weber gas grill, 4 sun-loungers, outdoor sofa and 3 large umbrellas for shade. The pool is large with a 3ft shallow end and 10ft deep end. There are 2 outdoor showers. brbrThe 4 bedrooms have modern en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets and TVs. The generous master suite has a King-sized bed and leads directly onto the deck and has a gas fireplace and a bathroom with a bidet, double sinks and a jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has 2 Twin Beds, the third bedroom has a Queen bed, and the fourth bedroom has 2 Twin beds and a Queen sized sofa-bed so the house sleeps 10 people in all. There's also a games room with a ping-pong table, darts and pool table. brbrIn the garden there's a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a lawn with a hammock and shade. For the kids there's a badminton set, soccer nets, croquet. All of this, and just a 15 minute walk to a private bay beach that you have access to or to Cedar Point national park with calm, warm waters great for young kids to swim in and to take my paddle board to. There's also a kid's play area there as well as a basketball court and volleyball court. Or discover the Hamptons and the beautiful local communities of East Hampton, Sag Harbor (12 minutes drive) or Montauk (30 minutes drive).brbrPlease note that the pool opens on 1st May and there is an additional charge for using the pool heater. $200 for the first night and then $50 for each night thereafter. You can decide whether you want the pool heated nearer the arrival day and the balance can be paid by Venmo on Zelle. In the summer months it's unlikely that you'll need the heater. In the winter I ask guests staying longer than 28 days to cover the cost of utilities long - gas, electric, oil, internet - and taking the trash to the local recycling facility.brbrThe house is located in the countryside. It's in the Northwest Woods area of East Hampton which is a heavily wooded area. There is wildlife out here - deer, wild turkey, voles, field mice, spiders, moths, ticks, ants. There is a cattle grid over the entrance to prevent deer coming into the garden. The lawn is sprayed for ticks throughout the year and I have a monthly pest control service contract that sprays the exterior of the house regularly to deter insects coming into the house and bait traps are set for rodents. Every precaution is made to minimize wildlife coming into the house but there is never a 100 per cent guarantee. To prevent wildlife entering please shut exterior doors and use the screens in the windows and please check children and pets for ticks during your stay.

July 1st - End of July, Aug 1st - Labor Day Weekend. Prior approval is needed for booking outside those specific dates.brbrbrOutdoor Furniture: We provide basic outdoor furniture for your personal enjoyment. Please note that the outdoor furniture comes as is and the furniture could be subject to pollen, leaves, sticks and debris from the natural elements. Charming East Hampton cottage on large property; steps to village

This quaint Cape Cod style house is minutes from all the shops, galleries, theatres, and restaurants in East Hampton village. Visitors to our house always rave about our convenient location. brbrThe ocean beach is two miles away, and within easy biking distance. The East Hampton train station is a 5 minute walk away, and the bus stop for the Hampton Jitney, the hourly bus to and from NYC, is about a ten minute walk.brbrAlthough it's ideal to have a car to explore the entire East End (including Montauk and Shelter Island), the house is so close to village amenities, you can walk to all the best restaurants, including Nick & Toni's, Fresno, 1770 House, Sam's, and Rowdy Hall. Just down the street is Mary's Marvelous, a great spot for morning coffee and muffins or sandwiches for the beach.brbrThere are two village grocery stores and several specialty food stores. All are less than a ten minutes walk from the house.brbrThe property itself is rare for its location: although it is so near the village, the house sits on a quiet one acre of land - perfect for relaxing outside, reading in the back yard chairs, playing with children, or outdoor barbecuing. Because of the property size, it's a great place for kids - to run around or to play ball. There is a SubZero refrigerator, a Bosch dishwasher, and a LG gas range. In addition, we are fully stocked with pots, pans, tools, and gadgets - from a lobster steamer to a Kitchen Aid. Because of its size, this house is more suited for intimate dinner parties, small family events, or romantic getaways, as opposed to large house parties. There is a large cookbook library in the kitchen and living room.brbrThe house has high speed internet and cable with a 48 inch Smart flatscreen TV in the living room and a 32 inch Smart flatscreen TV in the master bedroom. If you need to work while here, you can use the internet while lying in the hammock in the back garden.brbrThe house is heated by city gas, and cooled by new high-tech ductless air conditioning in each room. The air conditioning is controlled by individual remote controls which allow the occupant of each room to select the temperature comfortable to him or her.
