The bottom is mixed (sand / pebbles) when entering from the shore, so water-shoes are recommended. brbrInside, this three-bedroom lake home has been lovingly renovated inside and out. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting out in the 3-season room facing the lake. The home has an open concept floor plan (kitchen, dining area and living room). The kitchen has been finished with black stainless-steel appliances, custom cabinets and pine groove ceilings throughout. There are three bedrooms all on the main level of the home. The first bedroom has a Queen Bed. The second bedroom has a Full Bed and the third bedroom will have a Bunk Bed (Twin over Twin). Please note, the third bedroom is being converted from an office and does not have a closet. The bunk bed will have storage drawers. The island is easily accessible by private boat.brbrWe rented houses all over Lake Winnepasaukee for 15 years and when we rented this one we knew we had to buy it! What makes this house so special is that it sits out over the water with views from every room making it cheerful, even on rainy days. We have a Boat House (which is very rare) a large dock for sunbathing with stairs and ladder access into the crystal clear water. There is docking for two boats. 2 adult kayaks, 2 children’s kayaks, a double kayak, water mat, towing tubes, waterskis, life vests and water floats are all included! Towns, restaurants and grocery stores can all be accessed by boat. Car parking is in Alton at the Rattlesnake Island private lot. brbrWe do a lot of entertaining, so the kitchen and pantry are fully stocked along with gourmet cookware, gadgets, serving pieces and dishes. The dining table outside sits 8 and has a retractable awning to block the sun or rain. The dining table inside seats 8 and the granite island seats 4. Sliding doors on all sides of the house and large wood ceiling fans keep the house cool and comfortable. We also have air conditioning for those hot summer nights. brThe covered porch with double size swing bed is a favorite spot to read or nap and the potted flowers on all the decks are gorgeous. House is baby proofed with easy to use gates on the deck. brThe master bedroom has 3 sliding doors facing east and south for amazing views right from your bed! The deck off the master has a large bed to relax and enjoy the view. Master bathroom features granite countertops, double sinks, glass shower and bidet. Guest rooms all have sliding glass doors and ceiling fans. The loft bedroom has spectacular views and has two double beds and 1 double futon. The guest bath has granite countertops and glass shower. The utility room off kitchen has a large washer and dryer. brWaterskiing/wakeboarding and fishing are amazing right from the dock as we are in a well protected area. brRattlesnake Island is a 3 mile long island on Lake Winnepasaukee which has 300 homes lining its shores. The island has the highest point on the entire lake making for spectacular views from its summit. Rattlesnake Island has a hiking trail that runs down the spine of the island. We have beautiful views of the lake, boats, foliage, etc, from our huge deck that is literally on the water/Lake Winnipesaukee. In the colder months, you can walk onto the ice from our deck and ice fish, ice skate, snowmobile, or visit with the pilots that hang out with their planes on the only ice landing strip in the US (which is amazing to watch from the warm house as well!). brbrThis well-kept house has an open concept: a fully applianced kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a 55 smart 4K Roku TV, 1 gig fiber internet/wi-fi, a jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms, a grill, all the comforts of home, and so much more.brbrThis house is across the street from Lake Winnipesaukee, but nothing other than stairs and crossing the street is in your way. The slip that is included in the rental will give you access to the entire lake which is 71 mi² (area) and 20.75 mi (length).brbrThere are lots of places to walk to, so no need to always get in your car to go places. A sandy public beach, restaurants, and ice cream shops are just steps away. Hiking/skiing the mountains is nearby (Mt. Major is 5 minutes away & Gunstock is 17 minutes away), and Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion is about 20 minutes away (great concerts here!).brbrOff-street parking is provided for three cars in the driveway. We own this deck and it is shared with the house next door and no one else. There are also lots of great restaurants, ice cream places & miniature golf that are all walking distance from the cottage. *Must climb stairs to get to dock or walk down street and back which will take about 10 minutes vs 3-5 minutes using path/stairs*
