Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.brbrPrivacy: One neighbor right next door by the treeline brbrSnowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. Quaint Remodeled Cabin on Beautiful Au Train Lake

Enjoy a relaxing stay at a quaint remodeled cabin on AuTrain Lake. This cabin is a wonderful getaway for a couple or families with young children. The floor has a slight tilt which could be a problem for elderly. Each day at this cabin will offer a variety of ways to relax or any number of recreational options. This cabin is a weekly rental from Saturday to Saturday.brbrTwo bedrooms are available with full size beds in each and a fun loft with 2 twin beds. An indoor stone fireplace is available along with an outdoor fire pit for those evening bonfires. All the appliances are new and a fully outfitted kitchen is available. Sip your coffee at the kitchen countertop made from a giant white pine or on the comfortable lawn furniture in front of the lake. brbrAu Train Lake has a sandy bottom for swimming, tubing, waterskiing and boating. You can swim right in front of the cabin or take a one minute kayak to a sandbar for another swimming option that we named “ the cove”. A dock is available about 30 feet from the cabin door. brbrFishing has been a big hit with catches of walleye, northern pike, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Four river kayaks are available for rental for $25/ kayak. Kayak in the Lake or take a float down the nearby Au Train River with its beautiful landscape of plants and wildlife to see like waterfowl, turtles and lily pads. Black Ducks, and Eagles are seen seasonally at the cabin along with fireflies. brbrThe AuTrain River outlet is a five minute kayak from the cabin. Canoe or kayak from the cabin down the Au Train River to one of several access points or the more adventurous could paddle all the way to Lake Superior. Lake Superior is 3 miles by road from the cabin along with Au Train's famous swimming area where the Au Train River dumps into Lake Superior. Many waterfalls are nearby along with the beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising. This cabin offers relaxation or lots of activity options for each family member to enjoy.

This property is located in the town of AuTrain and is only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. Take a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior, or to just catch the sunset. The AuTrain River empties into the Lake providing early season swimming. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside in 2019. brbrSpace is plentiful for large groups of families. With accommodations for up to 12, this house is a great place for people to get together and enjoy the area. The property has a 6' privacy fence enclosing the entire back yard. There is a really nice campfire area setup to enjoy the outdoors and relax after a long day of exploring. There are 5 bedrooms with (2) king's, (2) queens and one (1) full bunk. There is a futon in the lower level for additional sleeping. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen with equipment to cook for 12 guests. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper, gas grill with propane, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent and softener as well as coffee filters for our regular drip coffee maker. Large Home on the shore of Lake Superior. Lodge has all amenities included. Huge 2nd level deck with patio furniture to relax and observe the lake. There is a very large yard and parking area. The Lodge has everything a normal house would have. Dishes, cookware, tableware, etc... There are 5 bedrooms, two with a King, two w/queens, and the 5th has twin full size bunk beds, sleeping a total of 12 guests. There are three full size bathrooms, 2nd level bathroom has a shower/Jacuzzi tub combo and the 1st level bathrooms have shower stalls. Included in your stay is a gas grill with propane, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent and softener as well as coffee filters for our regular drip coffee maker. We don't provide toiletries. All bedding, towels and linens as well as a 55 Smart TV, WiFi and internet streaming service. brbrAu Train is located in a beautiful rural area, and unlike cities, homes here do not use a municipal water system. Instead, everyone relies on a well system for their water including us! Well water is completely natural an does not contain additives or chemicals such as chlorine, commonly used in city water. Because of this you may notice that the water can taste or smell different than what you're used to at home. We do have a water softener and provide you with a reverse osmosis drinking water system and of course you're welcome to bring bottled water if you prefer.brbrPictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only a 15 minute drive away and there are over a dozen waterfalls within a 30 mile radius of this home. The National Lakeshore provides days worth of outdoor activities and adventures. Nearby AuTrain Lake and AuTrain River provide a wonderful place to enjoy swimming, water sports, fishing or a relaxing paddle. The AuTrain River provides excellent swimming where it empties into Lake Superior, and kayaking as it winds 7+ miles through the Hiawatha National Forest. Kayak rentals are available, otherwise feel free to bring your own, there is plenty of space to park your boat, trailer or whatever you bring. If you are into fishing, Bass, Walleye or Pike are your most commonly fished in AuTrain Lake, and Trout and Salmon in Lake Superior. Kayaks are available for rent. brbrI have seen nearly everything in this area and am a great resource during your stay. I will meet with you after you arrive and give you advice about the area and things you can enjoy during your vacation.
