There is truly something for everyone here all year around with plenty of options to satisfy everyone in your family… we promise! brLove the snow We are steps away from the ski lifts and the gondola! Mammoth has one of the best ski areas we’ve ever been to with plenty of runs that can accommodate both the most experienced skiers/snowboarders and the newer ones. The main lodge also has one of the best offerings we’ve sampled in any resort we’ve gone to. We love The Green, which offers custom made smoothies and avocado toast! There is also a rental shop in the hotel for your convenience and lockers downstairs you can use. brIf you love the snow but aren’t big on skiing or snowboarding, you can go on a scenic ride on the gondola that leaves across from the main lodge. It will take you up on two separate trips, stopping halfway up the mountain where you can take a picture with the famous post and walk up to see a memorial and then hop on the second one to the top. We like to stop for a drink in the café before heading back down. And best of all, if you are a scenic ride ticket holder, you get to go in a special line so you’re not stuck behind all the other skiers and boarders!brNot crazy about the snow Monache has an awesome fitness center with a shower so you don’t even have to trek back to your unit to shower if you don’t want to. They also have a beautiful pool that is heated in the winter and a very roomy spa! They also serve drinks and food poolside courtesy of Whitebark restaurant, which is terrific. It has a great happy hour in the restaurant downstairs and a fun bar. The menu attracts foodies from all over, and it’s right at your fingertips! They also have a really fun activity packet for little kids that offers them enough activities to last your stay! There is also always complimentary hot chocolate (our daughter is obsessed) or tea in the lobby… sometimes even champagne!brIn the summer, there is a gorgeous open air tram at the foot of the stairs you can take. We love renting bikes and then loading them up and taking the tram all the way to the top of the mountain and then riding down!
