A vintage bungalow with an updated interior, you can experience living on the beach while being 6 miles from LAX airport and 19 miles to Beverly Hills. There are two beds and one bath in the main house and a detached casita with a desk and futon. The kitchen has been recently renovated and has a new stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and farmhouse sink. Two bedrooms have Queen beds, closets, and dressers for plenty of storage. There is a separate guest casita equipped with a desk and a futon that can be used as a workspace or additional sleeping area. A dutch door off the living room takes you to the front porch and/or Strand for walking or biking. The back dutch door leads to your private outdoor turfed area equipped with comfy teak chairs and a Weber grill. Outdoor space on the beach is a rare find and you can keep the back door open for an ocean breeze indoor/outdoor feel. The large laundry room is located off the turfed area and can be used during your stay. Situated between the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach piers - restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops are an easy walk and beach volleyball is right outside your front door. Beach chairs available for use and a foam surf board available upon request. There is also a 1 bed / 1 bath apartment available behind the house. It is detached and private and can be rented with this property or separate. brbr-Located steps from the sand. This 2 bedroom, one and one-half bath unit is two levels with hardwood floors, quartz counter-tops and ocean views from the living room and both bedrooms. There is a kitchen with a breakfast bar (seating for three - no separate dining area), living room and powder room on the first level. The L/R has a bay window with a counter and four chairs so you can eat a meal, drink your coffee or work on your computer while enjoying a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. We call it the sand bar. There is also a 54' ROKU TV so that you can sign in to your streaming services. There is no live TV. The second level contains two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and a private washer/dryer. Bedroom 1 has a queen size murphy bed that easily converts to a desk if you need another place to work. The second bedroom has two twin beds with pillow-top mattresses that can be combined to make a king size bed. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. Additionally, there is a 'bed in a box' in each bedroom which is basically a beautifully hidden cot. The rooms are a little crowded when the beds in a box are opened so we don't recommend counting on them for use on a regular basis. brbrFrom the second level you go up to an amazing rooftop deck with a teak table and four chairs as well as two teak steamer chairs (the deck is shared - but just with us and we seldom use it).brbrThis unit is set on a beautiful beach with sand volleyball courts and a lifeguard stand directly in front of the unit. Surf or paddle board right out front or jump on the Strand and roller-blade, bike or skateboard on the twenty-mile path stretching from Redondo to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. It is just a 5 minute walk to Pier Ave. where you will find amazing restaurants, the Comedy Magic Club and AVP Volleyball tournaments. brbrWe provide linens and beach towels and are happy to let you borrow our boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrella. Sorry, no bikes or BBQ. There is free WIFI as well as a CAT5 internet hookup. There is designated off-street parking for one car.
