Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or Ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.brbrbrFireplace- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is typically unavailable in the summer and fall months, due to heightened fire risk in the area. We provide a Propane BBQ. Since the property has an adequate heating system, firewood is not provided. You are most welcome to bring any for your own ambiance if you wish, or you may use any that might be at the property left by friends, family, or other guests.brbrPet Friendly- This home is NOT pet friendly.brbrParking- There is enough parking for 3 cars at this property. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit as cars that hang over may be towed for blocking the road. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!brbrOccupancy- Maximum occupancy of 12 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is strictly enforced. No having events/weddings/large dinner gatherings/guests over just to visit. Guests that Exceed Occupancy limits will be asked to leave without a refund due to Fire Marshall violations. brbrSecurity Cameras- There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.brbrChains- California Highway Patrol and the National Parks Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.brbrNo Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.brbrInsurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!brbrbrNature-Please note that this property is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, a beautiful escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine, natural environment means we occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice and cobwebs. While we take every precaution (including regularly scheduled pest control) to minimize these occurrences, they are a natural part of the mountain experience. Please do inform us if you experience any of these during your stay, so that we have the chance to address them to give you a more comfortable experience. brbrbrMaintenance and Damage- Every effort has been made to ensure that all facilities are in good repair and everything is in working order. However, there may be an occasion when an amenity is unavailable, is out of order, or breaks down during occupancy. I will do my best to make repairs or replacements, but if neither is reasonably possible due to time or availability of parts or service, I cannot guarantee these items and I will not make refunds based on malfunctions or circumstances beyond our control. brbrEntry, Inspection and Eviction- The owner or her representative will have the right to enter the premises (a) in case of an emergency, (b) to make necessary or agreed repairs, alterations, improvements, supply necessary or agreed services, show the premises to prospective or actual tenants, workers or contractors, (c) when renter has abandoned or left the premises or (d) when eviction is necessary due to breach of this contract. In the case of (b), entry may only be made during normal business hours and with prior notice to the renter. Welcome to the Bear’s Lair, a cozy, rustic cabin in the Sierras near Yosemite. The cabin is located in the heart of Bass Lake, within walking distance to the charming small town and the lake. We have a large deck to enjoy warm summer evenings, BBQs, or just relaxing amid the surrounding pine trees. There is space to park cars and a boat trailer, but keep in mind the roads in Willow Cove are narrow and winding. We have a nearby dock slip to park a boat or jet ski.brbrThe spacebrThe cabin has a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable family room with a large stone fireplace. There are three bedrooms. The Bunk Room has a double bed, trundle bed, and its own private entrance leading to the deck. The second bedroom (we call it the Apple Room) has a twin over full bunk bed and a double bed. The third bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed. We recently renovated the two bathrooms and kitchen, blending modern updates with the original, rustic elements, in order to preserve the authentic old-time cabin experience.brbrGuest accessbrGuests have access to the entire property, including the large deck and space to park cars and a boat trailer. We have keyless entry to make your arrival easy and seamless.brbrOther things to notebrWe hope you enjoy the cabin, where the rules are short and sweet. No schedules. No deadlines. No dress code.
