There is a separate entrance downstairs, just off the driveway, that enters into the third bedroom. Outside, you'll find a spacious deck with 2 lounge loveseats, a gas fire pit, a gas grill, a table with an umbrella, and 4 chairs.brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked to meet your cooking needs and opens into the dining room which makes gatherings easy. Plus there are 4 bar stools along the bar in the kitchen. The main floor has two bedrooms (a queen bed in one and two twin beds in the other) with a full bathroom. Head upstairs to the master bedroom/loft with a luxurious king-size bed, chaise lounge, reading chair, office space with 2 monitors and ring lights, and a full-sized mirror.brbrHead downstairs and into the den/game room (alternate third bedroom) complete with a Pottery Barn sofa, two twin Ikea chairs/cots, a 65 HD TV, a pool table, and a dart board. Ample toys and board games will keep everyone entertained. There is also a half bathroom downstairs with a washer and dryer available to dry out your jackets after skiing/playing in the snow or to dry your swimsuits in the summer. Finally, the deck is perfect for BBQ, dining, lounging, and star gazing.brbrFor those cold winter days, a wood-burning stove is ready to warm up the home. Please only book our cabin if you are comfortable using a wood stove as it is the main source of heat for the home. We do have wall heaters in the main living areas that also provide heat but the home is heated best through the wood stove. Also note that like many cabins in the area, our driveway is at an incline. We use a plow service that comes to clear the driveway as soon as conditions allow. If you arrive on a day of heavy snow and it hasn’t been cleared, we encourage you to park at the bottom and walk up.brbrFinally, while our cabin is well stocked with basic kitchen items, a starter set of toilet paper, and paper towels, please note if you are staying more than a couple of nights you will need to bring extras. There is plenty of room to park multiple vehicles and lots of firewood for your stay, however, pets are not allowed due to allergies (sorry).brbrRegarding COVID-19, please rest assured we are taking additional precautions to clean and disinfect our cabin. The main entry of the home leads to its middle floor - this is where you will find the living room with a 65 Smart TV, Dining Area, Kitchen, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Full Bath and the spacious wraparound Deck with ample outdoor seating and dining.brbrThe lower floor has the 3rd bedroom with an attached full bath and also the laundry facilities for the home. The top floor (loft) has the 4th bedroom with 2 queen beds, a convertible twin bed and another full bathroom AND our FAVORITE part of the home - the Skylight Lounge. We won't give away too much about the Skylight Lounge - other than the fact that there are skylights and about a 100 different ways for anyone and everyone to have a good time.brbrAnd if all of that isn't enough, we've got lots of yard space around the house with gorgeous tall trees and lots of wildlife. Lounging in the hammock or roasting marshmallows at the firepit are our favorite ways to spend lazy summer evenings.brbrWe are less than a mile away from the Fly-in Acres lake, 10 minutes from Calaveras Big Tree State Park, 20 minutes from Murphy's wine-tasting, and 30 minutes from the Bear Valley Ski Resort.brGuest accessbrOur gently sloped driveway has ample parking for at least 4 cars. You will have access to the entire home with 3 decks and lots of yard space on all sides of the home. Please feel free to walk around and enjoy the gorgeous outdoors. There's a gas BBQ on the deck and we also provide lots of fun lake gear such as beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels (please don't take regular bath towels outside the home!!). For the especially adventurous bunch, there's a camping cot in 2nd bedroom closet on the middle floor if you dare to sleep under the stars :)brbrWe are also part of the Blue Lake Springs (BLS) community in Arnold. For a small fee, guests have access to all of the amenities provided by BLS that include 2 private lakes, tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoes, Olympic size swimming pool, snack shack, full service restaurant, shuffle board, ping pong, sand volleyball pit, BBQ and Picnic areas, sandy beaches, golf course and more. As the heat rises up, the lower floor can sometimes be a bit cooler during the winter - there is a personal heater in the laundry area for those especially chilly days.brbr~ Located in the middle of the Stanislaus National Forest means that you are fairly likely to spot deers, wild cats, coyotes, various birds and even bears. Please give them their space and keep a safe distance. Do not feed the bears or any other wildlife.brbr~ During the winter and early spring (Nov-Mar), we put away the barbecue and cover the outdoor furniture to protect it from rain and snow.brbr~ The house is on a septic tank so please DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING EXCEPT TOILET PAPER down the toilets. The front entrance opens into the living room, with access to the kitchen and a full bathroom. There is a sofa couch with a queen-sized pullout bed and two expandable tables on the same level. Upstairs is a loft suite with a king bed, a desk, and a full bathroom. If you have a baby, there is a pack & play crib with crib bedding provided in the main level closet. Two additional bedrooms with trundle beds and queen beds respectively as well as another full bathroom are located on the lowest level separated from the living room by a door, hallway, and a stairwell, which provides great privacy if more than one family is sharing the cabin. There is a second workstation and an electronic keyboard in the hallway. The cabin has an in-house, full-sized washer and dryer for your use. We make sure all our beds are comfortable with high quality new memory foam mattresses, new cotton sheets with high thread counts, and new duvets & pillows. All bathrooms are fully stocked with new soft towels. There is high speed internet throughout the cabin, a Roku Smart TV with free Netflix, a smart speaker with Alexa, and smart controls for heaters and the propane fireplace.brbrGuest accessbrOur cabin is on a hill with a ramp and stairs to access the deck and the entry door. It is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties or serious health conditions. During the snow season, the public roads are plowed. Once entering the private property, plow service is only active when there is snow over 4 inches. If you come in the winter, please have the necessary accessories ready for snow and ice including chains, snow boots, and relevant clothing. Be very careful when walking on the ramps and stairs in the winter as they can be slippery.brbrWe strongly recommend that you print or download the address and the access code of the smart lock before heading here, as AT&T has very little cell phone coverage in Arnold. Verizon has a decent signal in Arnold. In Bear Valley, it is the opposite. AT&T generally has signal near the main lodge in Bear Valley, but Verizon has little coverage. Our cabin has high-speed internet and Wi-Fi that covers the whole house and close surrounding area.brbrOther things to notebrThe natural ecology is well maintained here. The environment is far away from dense populations, which means that wildlife is spotted in the area occasionally such as bears, cougars, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, skunks, and deer. Please do not leave young kids outside unattended and avoid walking in woods without taking precautions. Please do not approach any wild animals if you see any. To avoid attracting wild animals to our property, we do not have a garbage bin outside. To minimize bear damage, please do not litter anywhere outside and ensure that you don't leave food or fragrant items in your car.
