At dusk the courtyard is lighted and welcoming. While some of my guests come for a week, many enjoy a month-long visit or longer to escape the cold winters or during relocation to Tucson. The location is convenient as a home base as it's central to michnof Tucson and just 12 minutes up the road from Banner University Medical Center and 15 mins to UofA. While feeling secluded, you're minutes from La Encantada Shopping Center, excellent restaurants. Great walking neighborhood with hikes just minutes away, farmer's market on Sundays followed by Mimosas at St. Phillips Plaza or an early morning hike from the nearby Pima Trailhead.brbrPlease note that you may see the smiling faces of myself and my dogs occasionally as we pass through the courtyard. The surrounding desert and gardens are alive with desert wildlife including many songbirds, reptiles, raptors, owls, rabbits, and coyotes. The guesthouse has a front office with a desk, massage chair, and a futon which folds out into an extra sleeping space. Centrally located in the 750 sq.ft. guesthouse is a main entertainment room with couch and massage lounging chair. The bedroom contains a California King bed and a futon as well as 2 chests of drawers. There's also a large walk-in closet attached to the bedroom. The bathroom has a bath tub and shower. The kitchen has a vintage electric stove-top and oven as well as microwave, toaster oven, ice machine, keurig and fridge with freezer.brbrAbout a 1 mile walk away is the Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary with over 4.7 miles of walking, running, or mountain biking trails. If you are using this as a work and play space the desk is located in the office just off the laundry area with it`s own door for privacy. The fire-pit in the backyard requires propane. Please note: When propane tank is provided guests are required to fill during their stay for use. If you choose to use it you can bring the tank to the local gas station about 5 minutes away and they can swap it out or fill it for you.brbrThe pool is there for your enjoyment, mostly in the warmer months here in Arizona that is from May-October sometimes into November. When it cools off take advantage of the hot tub and cooler evenings. Please watch your children around the pool at all times. brbrThe keypad is on the front door. Open unlocked security door to access keypad. There is also garage access. The remote is on the kitchen island. Please leave it there at checkout for the next guest.
