Our charming place is perfect for single travelers, couples/friends or small families looking for a comfortable place in the mountains. It is an upstairs apartment that has one bedroom, one bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen with a table and chairs, a small sitting area that folds down into a bed. We have stocked the unit with many extras for your convenience. There is a pack n play and a queen air mattress, board games, a grill and a fully stocked kitchen for homemade meals. (Renters need to bring their own propane tank). There is plenty of space for parking on the side of the cottage. There is a fire pit in the yard to sit back and enjoy a fire (make sure to bring your own camping chairs!!). NO SMOKING. NO PETS. brbr***We use the main level cabin for our families accommodations. brbrProperty can accommodate up to two more guests. Additional guest fee as follows: $40 for 2 nights per guest, $50 for 3 nights per guest, $50 additional cleaning fee.brbrOur place is nestled in the lovely community of Forest Lakes Estates which is located 30 minutes north of Payson. The small community has a general store that has many items from food to flashlights, a cafe/store, and a gas station. Many lakes, creeks, ponds, hiking and outdoor activities are nearby. Take a 20 minute drive north to Heber to find more grocery options, restaurants and shopping.brbrOur place has a spacious parking area, a lower deck with a grill and chairs, upstairs is the entrance to the space and a balcony with chairs to relax and enjoy the view. A spacious foresty yard is shared if owners are staying at the main cottage and a fire pit.brbrWhile we do have WiFi at our place, the connection and reception isn’t always the best. Certain areas of the property have better signals and on busy holiday weekends the internet can be down a lot. You should be able to make calls and send texts just fine but we have found it difficult to send pictures or watch videos on phones during those times. The roku tv can connect to the internet sometimes but will most likely buffer many times throughout your show or not connect at all. We cannot guarantee that the WiFi will work at all during you stay. We pay a premium price for a very subpar internet service and unfortunately at this time that is the only option here. We have four children between my brother's family and ours and always have additional families up for the weekend. Horseback riding is available within a couple miles from the cabin, as well as, many hiking trails and seven cold water lakes. Bunkhouse is an upstairs unitbr-Long-term rental (rent for the summer 4-5 months) is preferred. This unit is completely furnished, and you will have the entire place to yourselves; however, there is a cabin across on the same property which may be rented to others at the same time or where the owners stay. 30 day min.br-Accommodation for toiletries, necessities, etc. are available for a few days only; like a weekend, (depending on the size of your group and how frequent the use). You will need to purchase those items for the rest of your stay.br-All reservations will be pending until a cleaning person can be committed to your reservation.br-Coffee maker is a Keurig and the toaster is for bread (not bagels).br-Parking for the bunkhouse is to the right of the garage, if blocked, park right in front of the door for this unit.br-This bunkhouse sleeps 6 guests: 2 Queen beds, 1 queen sofa bed and room for a blow up mattress.br-Please recycle. It is brought back to the valley for recycling.br-Garbage is a large container in front of garage and is picked up on Wednesdays.br-TV in living area for streaming only.br-Quiet times are 10 pm thru 7 am.br-There are 2 lockboxes: 1 key to the front garage door and inside with 1 key to the upstairs door. br-Upstairs in the bunkhouse there is an additional key to both doors on the dining table. Please leave the lockbox keys inside the lockbox to avoid being locked out and for repair people to enter when you are away (which you will be notified first prior to anyone going in)..br-Internet information is on a card by the spare key.br-Please leave all used towels on the ground and used beds unmade when departing.br-If you are bringing an animal with you, there is an additional $250 per pet fee (non-refundable) that is due after you reserve the unit through VRBO but is paid directly to owner. If not paid, it will be collected through the resolution center. (A few bad dogs ruined it for the rest.) Please account and calculate for this additional $250 if you intend to bring an animal. Please bring a kennel for your pet and have them kenneled while you are away or during the sleep hours. There is NO doggie door (or permanent fencing) so you must plan to take your pet outside regularly. br-Do not put any left-over containers into the microwave. Put food on a plate or bowl and reheat. Failure to do so will incur additional expenses through the resolution center.br-Only human waste can go to the septic tank -- no Feminine hygiene products or toilet paper can go down the drains/toilet.br-Smoking is NOT allowed inside, but smokers can smoke outside only, 25' away from the garage. Owner is extremely allergic to cigarette smoke and it's after affects.br-Heat is available if needed but must be turned off during the summer unless it is particularly cold.br-There are security cameras inside the garage and outside the unit.br-No campfires would be available during your stay in the Bunkhouse.br-This is a very peaceful, quick get-away up in the cool pines about 2+ hrs from the valley. You are surrounded by the natural beauty of the White Mountains, the Apache/Sitgreaves National Forest in a very quiet part of Forest Lakes Estates on the Mogollon Rim. There are 3 lakes close by and 4 more off road some distance away. Lots of hiking and forest to explore, fishing, Kayaking, off roading, and biking (off road) or it's great to just relax!br-There are many more activities (shopping, restaurants, hiking, walking paths, cycling, etc.) outside this area in Heber (20 miles away) or Payson (40 miles).br-Forest Lakes has 2 general stores; the General Store, located at the west end of this community, and the Rim Resort Store, located at the east end, has gas pumps. -There is only 1 restaurant in town, 260 Roadhouse Restaurant, who limits their hours so check online for their hrs of operations. There is 1 hotel in town and plenty of cabin rentals available.

When you want to get away from all the hustle of the Valley, you can conveniently drive two hours, arriving in the pines at our beautiful home in the forest. Our home boasts four main bedrooms (master bedroom on the main floor with a king-sized bed, and two comfortable bedrooms on the second floor with wonderful views.) There is a very spacious great room with a television and wi-fi. Also, on the main floor is a side room with two bunk beds. The garage is spacious. On the west side of the house and below the side room, there is a game room with foosball and air hockey tables. We recently expanded the yard on the lower, west side for your hammock, a place to play games like cornhole, etc. We have a spacious driveway with lots of parking, a fire pit, a BBQ, prongs for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs, a cornhole set, and more. Though the interior of the cabin is cozy and comfortable, go out, sit on the full, wrap-around deck, and enjoy the fresh air!
