The house is equipped for connection with loved ones in an atmosphere of quiet, peace, and desert tranquility. brbrPet policy: brbrWe allow dogs if they are: well trained and behaved, not allowed on furniture or on the beds, not left alone when you go out, and don’t bark regularly or incessantly. As the owner, you agree to clean up after your dog, and to dispose of the waste in a special trash bin. It’s helpful if your dog is recently groomed and/or doesn’t shed (much). Please ask about your dog ahead of time.  There is an additional charge of $10/night..brbrWe allow cats only if they do not scratch or shed. The guest will bring a bed, litter box, and optional scratchng post if necessary, for the cat and there is a $10/night charge. brbrThe space:brbrThe house has two bedrooms, each with a king bed and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a very comfortable memory foam mattress. There is an inviting covered porch with table and chairs for 4 and an additional view porch that looks eastward toward Coconino National Forest and the Mogollon Rim. Situated between the dark sky communitites of Sedona and Camp Verde, conditions for astrophotography and night sky viewing are often optimal.brbrRimrock is a very safe and quiet community, far enough from the busy traffic and high lodging rates of Sedona but close enough to access all the attractions of northern Arizona, including hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails.brbrThe house is cooled by a large rooftop evaporative cooler, which is very adequate for even the hottest days of the summer. Additionally, evap coolers have been proven to be much healthier than A/C units in limiting the spread of the Coronavirus because fresh air is constantly recirculating throughout the house.brbrSome people ask if we have a grill and we do not have an outdoor gas grill due to fire danger. Instead we have a counter top George Foreman electric gill available for guests. brbrSmoking Policy:brbrSmoking is strictly prohibited indoors but there is an outdoor smoking area for guests. Rimrock is a very quiet and safe location, far enough away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to northern Arizona's most popular destinations.brbrThe cottage is located at the end of a rectangular building that is divided into three sections-the cottage at one end, our office/apartment in the middle and a single car garage at the other end. We sometimes stay in the apartment when the house is rented. brbrGuest accessbrIf we are on the property we like to give a bried tour to our guests, Otherwise there is a lockbox with key access.brbrThe cottage is located about 25' from the main house and guests have complete privacy to come and go as they please. The cottage (consisting of approx. 300 sq/ft), deck and pergola is set up as a studio with kitchenette (convection oven, hot plate, coffee maker, instant hot water kettle, microwave, toaster, utensils, plates and refrigerator. We keep a supply of organic coffees and herbal teas on hand.brbrOther things to notebrSmoking is strictly prohibited indoors but there is a designated smoking area outside.
