Looking to get away for the weekend or for a week This 1800 sq. ft. cabin is nestled among tall Ponderosa Pines, some 100 years old! A taste of paradise is only about an hour and a half drive from Scottsdale.brbrThe cabin is two stories, the main story being on the second brfloor. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed brand the other with two twin beds. Upstairs there is also a brbathroom, family room and kitchen. brDownstairs there is another family room with another queen futon, brbathroom and laundry room. This is the perfect set up for two brcouples or two families as it allows each some privacy. There are brtwo televisions and DVD players, one in the master bedroom and the brother in the downstairs family room. I have several movies you can borrow. WI-FI is also available.brbrThe deck wraps around the entire second floor so you can brchoose to sit in the sun or shade whichever you prefer. There is bra gas BBQ and a hammock you can use. The cabin has three brfireplaces; two wood and one gas. The wood ones are in the brupstairs family room and master bedroom and the gas one is in brthe downstairs family room. There is a small fee for wood or you brcan bring your own. Don't forget to bring marshmallows to roast!brbrThe cabin sits on an acre and a half of land and backs the brNational Forest. It is quite private and quiet. If you walk brinto the forest about a quarter of a mile at dusk and you are brquiet and lucky, of course, you could see elk, particularly brin the summer and fall. I have seen up to 20 at a time! At the brvery least, you are certain to hear bugling in the middle of the brnight if you wake up. brbrI have a book there that gives you all kinds of ideas as to what brto do; hikes, fishing, swimming holes, restaurants, shops, etc. brEverything you need is there.
