The home is conveniently located near Red Rock State Park within walking distance of a Posse Ground Park and trailheads to Sugarloaf Mountain. There are 3 grocery stores within 1-3 miles of the home as well as the only drive-thru Starbucks in Sedona! National parks nearby are: Grand Canyon National Park, Montezuma Castle National Monument, Petrified Forest National Park, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, Tonto National Monument. Sedona is a designated Dark City which allows for the incredible star gazing in the evenings that you can experience. This means bright backyard patio lights or landscape lighting is prohibited. Driving to our home is the most convenient form of transportation. There is parking for two vehicles in our driveway. There are no steps leading into the property or within the home. The pool is available for use year-round, but if you want to heat it, there is an extra daily charge of $100. However, pool heating is not an option during the winter months of November, December, January, and February. Please be aware that at such low temperatures, we cannot guarantee the pool water will warm up enough for comfortable swimming as it cannot retain heat. Additionally, during inclement weather, we cannot guarantee the pool can be heated to a comfortable temperature. Refunds will not be provided for inclement weather. We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control that may render the Jacuzzi non-operational upon your arrival. In such an event, a refund of $50 per night will be issued. Late departures past 10:15 am will incur a $100 fee unless prior approval has been requested and received. Any ashes, cigarettes, cigars, or unburnt logs left in the firepit will result in a cleaning charge of $40. The 89A leads from Cottonwood through Sedona to Flagstaff (and beyond) and we are just south of the highway in the heart of red rock country.brbrJust 10 minutes from town and 5 minutes off the highway on the Red Rock Loop Scenic Drive, it's amazing how transformative our neck of the woods is. Peaceful and serene, this neighborhood makes you feel like you're away from it all, without actually having to be. brbrVilla Vortex is located just off of the world-famous Red Rock Loop. The road winds through iconic landmarks and spectacular scenery. We end up taking a photo of the views at least every-other-time we drive home (truthfully, it never gets old!). brbrOur property is on a quiet, private road. You will have to drive about 100 feet down compacted dirt to make it to our paved driveway (our Prius and our neighbor's Prius make it no problem). brbrSpeaking of neighbors, we do have a few, though we often forget when in the privacy of our estate. We have a couple families nearby and occasionally you will see the young kids playing in their yards when coming to and from the house. One of our neighbors also has horses which we occasionally hear neigh in the distance. brbrThere are several SPECTACULAR hikes, swimming holes and parks near the house. Red Rock State Park is ideal for casual strolls and hiking while Crescent Moon State Park has the most amazing swimming holes and our favorite vortex in Sedona. Both are within biking distance from the house! brbrThere are many, many more trails, attractions and vistas along Red Rock Loop (and we have a list if you're interested!). brbrSedona is an International Dark Sky community, which means we are required to limit outdoor lighting. We do have some lighting near the front door, on our driveway, and in our patio and pool, but it is minimal. As a result, it can be tricky to see outside at night, but the stargazing is unparalleled! It is truly spectacular to spot shooting stars over the silhouette of Cathedral Rock from our balcony!brbrGetting around:brbrTo get around Sedona you will need a car (or you will need to be a very avid cycler!). We are on the northern end of Sedona and you can easily drive to a plethora of stunning hikes, walks, parks and swimming holes in just five minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to get to town, and the drive is so beautiful you won't even notice!brbrBut, if you DO happen to be a cycler or mountain biker, you can EASILY ride from the house to the countless trails nearby, or you may just find that Red Rock Loop is the ideal road to ride!br
