With each bedroom having it's own attached bathroom, Papago Pines is perfect for a large family, or multiple families/couples!br brAt 2600 sq ft., our cabin has plenty of space for your next gathering. On the bottom level there is a great room (including the kitchen, the dining area, and the living room), a half bathroom, a laundry room, and the master bedroom w/ bathroom. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, all having their own attached bathrooms. (ALL bedding and linens, including the duvet covers and bath mats, are laundered between guests). Out front, there is a deck running the entire length of the house and a porch swing to sit on to enjoy the weather and watch the kids play. There is also a set of Cornhole boards, and a Hook 21 game for your enjoyment. In the living room, there is a wood burning fireplace, but please note that we request only store bought logs, like Duraflame, be burned (not supplied).brbrNearby, there is a park with a playground, sand volleyball, and basketball courts (albeit, the basketball courts are not in very good shape, but still satisfactory for a good game of HORSE!) and there are plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and off-roading. Mormon Lake, or Lake Mary, are both in the area and are great places to have a picnic! brbrYou will definitely want to visit Munds Park's amazing local restaurants (all minutes from the cabin), including Agee’s Barbeque Market, Munds Park Bar & Grill, the Pinewood Diner, and Kota’s (an amazing coffee shop!). Since it is a small town, It is always best to check the days/hours of operation. It can vary depending on the season.brbrMunds Park is a dog friendly community. However, there are some rules that must be followed if you choose to bring your dog(s). We allow a max of two small/medium sized dogs, no larger than 35 pounds each, with an additional Pet Fee of $100. No other pets are permitted without Host approval. We will request details on your dogs when you request to book. brHOUSE RULES FOR DOGS br- Dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding.br- In consideration of the guests who are following after you, please make sure to clean up after your pets. br-The yard is not fenced and dogs must be leashed at all times when outside. Please note that wild animals have been seen in Munds Park. Keep your pets safe.br- Please control barking so as not to disturb others.brbrbr**IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE**br-Pictures will be taken before, and after, rental. We are trusting you with our family cabin. Please respect that and follow all house rules and policies. If something gets damaged, let us know asap and we will address it professionally and fairly.br-There is a minimum age requirement of 25 years old. At least one member of the party must be 25 years old or older.br-No parties, or events, are permitted.br-There is a Ring doorbell (with camera and audio) installed at the front door, which is used to confirm arrivals and departures for our cleaning crew, and also to provide additional security when the property is empty. It is not monitored during your stay and will only be reviewed if necessary (neighbor complaints, weather issues, parking issues, etc.).br-Occupancy: The cabin sleeps up to 13 people, but max of 12 adults. The occupancy limit is 13 guests, unless they are all adults, then the limit is 12.br-There is parking for 5 to 6 vehicles. Please let us know if you have more than that and we will try to accommodate.br-While we supply a baby gate for use by the stairs, please note that it is only to be used at the bottom of the stairs. It is a tension gate, and if not installed properly, or if it is pushed/leaned on, it may not be secure. Again, this gate is for use at the bottom of the stairs only.br-This property has a strict NO DRUGS & NO SMOKING/VAPING, of any kind, policy.br-We have had elk, skunks, and javelina in our yard. At night, park residents night cameras have picked up bears and large cats. Munds Park is in the forest. Please act accordingly. br-There is a fire pit in the backyard for guest use. However, it is guest responsibility to check to make sure there are no fire restrictions (pinewoodfire.org). There is a hose on the side of the house, and a shovel in the mechanical closet (off of the laundry room). Please, keep these close at hand when burning, and never leave a fire unattended! Fireworks, firecrackers and all types of pyrotechnics are prohibited. *Firewood is not provided*br-In winter, make sure you are parked all the way in the driveway. DO NOT park in the culdesac. If a snow plow comes through, and your vehicle is in street, it may be buried by the plow, or possibly towed!br-VRBO'S map is not accurate. You'll know you are at the right place when you see situated atop the hill this majestic 3-story cabin peaking through the pine trees...and you will quickly see why it is known by the locals as 'The Castle in The Pines'. The cabin is 3600sf of breathtaking views. 3 stories, each with enormous wrap-around decks offering views of the serene lake, towering mountains, and pines as far as the eye can see. We are close to everything, but without sacrificing the peace & quiet we all seek when escaping to Munds Park. The 'Castle in the Pines' is a true 5-bedroom, each with a king or queen bed and a bunk-room with a divider. Two of the rooms are Master Suites with private decks, en-suite full bathrooms & shower & tubs! The Castle sleeps 14 comfortably in beds, and then couches & air-mattresses for up to 17 total max capacity, inc kids. We have a folding crib, a pack-n-play, and other baby-friendly amenities. On the first floor is a game room with pool table, ping-pong, appleTV, 65' new plasma TV, Dish, WiFi & all the best board games, fireplaces, wet-bar kitchenette with sink, wine fridge, and mini-fridge. Head out to the deck, grill some burgers and enjoy a game of bean bag-toss & giant Chess. Wind down on the deck at night with a glass of wine and enjoy the unparalleled star-gazing in the clear night sky! We have owned the cabin for 17 years and we still use it regularly. If you like to explore, hit the Crystal Point Trail minutes away, or head into Flagstaff and enjoy the ped-mall and there are festivals and concerts just about every weekend (20 minute drive). A short drive to Sedona (30-45 minutes); Grand Canyon (2-3 hrs); local casino (30 min) or Las Vegas (~4 hrs); even Phoenix and D-backs baseball games only 90 minutes! Amazing trails to hike; ATV's to rent; historic ghost-towns.....seriously it's ALL here you cannot find a better family vacation in a better place at a better cabin at this price. Take a short walk to Odell Lake where the kids can fish and you can create new family memories. will truly enjoy exploring all the beauty and tranquillity of Munds Park. Whether you want to relax, hike, fish, explore, cook out, enjoy nature, bird watch, go ATV riding, kayak, bike ride, or just spend some quiet time on the deck enjoying the view, you will find that there is something very special and unique for everyone! This is truly a Happy Place. This gorgeous cabin is just over 2500 sqft. You will enter into a beautiful open living room/ great room area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the trees. The living room has a cozy fireplace and 75 inch smart TV. The gourmet kitchen has everything you need to cook for your large family with plenty of room to dine inside or outside. On the same main floor you will find a large master bedroom/bathroom suite. The bathroom has heated floors, a tub to relax in, and an option to take a steam shower. On the other side of the main floor is another bedroom with a queen size Murphy bed and an additional bathroom. Both upstairs bedrooms also have their own smart TV's. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with tv that includes a Roku streaming device and bathroom attached. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds. 2nd bathroom off hallway. Great room has an electric fireplace and a 65 inch flatscreen tv. Also a full size reclining leather sofa and rocking reclining love seat. Bonus room has a six person dining room table, reclining leather love seat and desk with monitor (just bring computer and cords). We added a new full size stackable washer and dryer in 2022. We also replaced all of the appliances in the kitchen in January 2019. Enjoy the cooler temps on the back trex deck porch surrounded by the pines. Cabin has WiFi and Direct TV.
