Seven Oaks Cabin” in Duck Creek Village, Utah. Zion and Bryce Nearby!

Alton, Utah, United States

Come and enjoy our beautiful 2800 sq. ft. cabin in Duck Creek Village. Located in Elk Ridge Estates, this two story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom cabin is located on 4.5 acres approximately 15 minutes from downtown Duck Creek Village. Our cabin has a rustic decor and feel, with large floor to ceiling windows overlooking trees and meadows. Wildlife viewing from the deck is incredible, with the occasional elk, numerous deer, wild turkey, and bird watching galore during the summer and fall! With a full deck across the back of the cabin to enjoy the views, there's no better place for coffee in the morning, or a beverage of your choice in the evening. brbrThe cabin is centrally located in south-west Utah, with some of the world's most scenic national and state parks for hiking and sightseeing, to include Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park located 37 miles away in either direction. For those of you that fish, there are four lakes (Aspen Mirror Lake, Duck Creek Pond, Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake) located between 16 and 28 miles away. For the skiers and snow boarders (in the winter) and mountain bikers (in the summer), Brian Head Summer and Ski resort is located 37 miles away. On top of all of this, there is approximatley 600 miles of designated trails for snowmobilers in the winter, and ATV's/UTV's in the summer. And for those of you that don't own your own machines, there are plenty to rent in Duck Creek Village! And with Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon within a reasonable distance, a day trip to either can be a great adventure as well. brbrThe cabin itself is set up to help you relax and enjoy you time in your home away from home. It has a large living room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, large kitchen, and a dining room table to seat 8. The kitchen is equipped with the usual appliances, but also includes both a Keurig and a Mr. Coffee coffee makers, a blender, mixer, and crock pot. The master bedroom is also located on the main level, and includes a king size bed, 54 flat screen TV, and large master bath with a jacuzzi tub. The lower level of the cabin includes a large family room with seating for 12, a wood-burning stove and a 75 flat screen TV, and 3 additional bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry room (front loading washer and dryer). The bedrooms include one bedroom with a king size bed and flat screen TV, another bedroom with a queen size bed and flat screen TV, and the third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. With central heat, air conditioning, two wood burning stoves , and ceiling fans throughout the cabin, you will always be comfortable. The cabin also has plenty of parking for vehicles and ATV's.br brThe cabin's location has year round access, as the Elk Ridge Estates is a paved community. And although ATV's and UTV's have access to the Dixie National Forest and its trail system, you won't have to experience ATV's racing up and down a dirt road in front of your home, kicking up dust and making too much noise. However, due to the location of our cabin and the driveway to the cabin, 4-wheel drive and/or chains for your vehicle are highly recommended in the winter due to the snow (the gravel driveway is easily traversed by car any other time of year).brbrCome and enjoy the Seven Oaks experience. We believe you won't find another cabin like it! Hope to hear from you soon!brbr

Experience the Wild West in Luxury!

Alton, Utah, United States

When you think of Western United States, you think of the early pioneer settlers. Rolling below the beautiful cliffs of Zion and Bryce, our pioneer ancestors experienced the simple yet breathtaking landscapes through the windows of their covered wagons.brbrEnjoying these beautiful parks while staying in a Conestoga wagon is unique, spiritual and down right exciting. WhisperingPines Glamping Resort allows you to do it with all the luxuries and conveniences of the 21st century.brbrWhispering Pines Glamping Resort is easily accessed off HWY 89, perfectly located only 35 min from Zion National Park and 40 min from Bryce Canyon. (Right in the Middle)brbrWP Resort currently has 6 Conestoga Wagons located in the most beautiful valley.brAfter entering through our unique gate, you will meander 1/2 mile under towering Ponderosa Pines, through our flowing grassy meadow, below the white cliffs, past grazing mule deer up into our hidden getaway full of waterfalls, manicured bluegrass sod and old time relics from past.brbrOur Wagons are great for couples, solo adventurers, small families and even large family reunions. If your family is larger than 28 individuals, we have a large grass lawn for pitching tents and additional parking areas for campers as well.brbr1. Wagon #1 sleeps 4 people (1 king bed and 1 bunk bed)brbr2. There is no water in the wagons, but you will be within 50 feet of a water hydrant and your private bath and shower room.brbr3. Each private bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and heater. Towels will be provided.brbr4. Each wagon has a small refrigerator, a microwave, Coffee maker, BBQ grill, picnic table and a fire ring.brbrAlong with the national parks, our guests enjoy all the activities we provide such as a horse shoe pit, many hammocks for reading and relaxing, 2 separate waterfeatures and streams for the kids to play in. A 4,000 sqft grassy lawn to play soccer and volley ball. We also have a basketball hoop, a trampoline, a large swing, a tomahawk throw (adult supervision needed) a tree hut with kitchen for the little ones, beautiful hills for hiking, and a huge meadow for flying kites and playing kick ball. We even have special fairy huts and lightning bugs in the trees bringing that fun magical atmosphere.brbrThe large grassy meadow lying beneath the white cliffs is always full of grazing mule deer. Make sure to bring your binoculars so you can see them up close.brbrWe have gone to great lengths to display some of the original history of our valley. The site is carefully decorated with original features such as the two seater out house used by Old Grandpa Tom and his wife. Also, Seamans Canyon was originally homesteaded by John and Alice Seaman in the mid 1800 s. They had a lumber mill. We found their big pile of scrap wood and have made some neat displays of items commonly found in lumber mills at that time.brbr(Remember this property is at 7200 ft elevation. It's the perfect elevation to get out of the heat of Zion and Bryce for he evening. But it can also get a little chilly at night. Spring and Fall weather can be a little more wet and chilly as well so be prepared with warm jackets. We do provide gas heaters and electric blankets inside the wagon and the private bathrooms.
