We had a great time here, the cabin is perfect. It is clean, comfortable and just beautiful. There was great communication, everything was really easy. This is an amazing location and a wonderful cabin for a mountain getaway!
What an outstanding property! This home had everything you needed to get away from it all. We loved the remote location. We spent most of our days sight seeing and then came back to the house for dinner and the evening. It was perfect. The house was centrally located to the major national parks in Utah and allowed us to enjoy some beautiful drives. But best of all, it’s location was right on the Dixie Forest. We saw a lot of deer as well as turkeys many times during our stay. The peacefulness of the forest was incredible and the view of the stars was amazing! Joan, our contact, was unbelievably responsive and helpful! We cannot say enough about this property and would love to come back as it was one of our favorite homes that we have stayed in over many years. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this wonderful property!
My husband and I stayed in this beautiful lodge/home for 4 nights, but we could have stayed longer. The amenities were numerous and we were very comfortable. Some of the highlights would include the local deer nearby every morning, the wraparound deck for sunsets, (apparently star-gazing is also nice, but we were too tired to stay up for that) The kitchen was well-stocked with clean dishes, etc., but also with paper products. Everything was very clean and the location was very private and convenient for all things outdoors. Zion was about an hour away and Bryce was about 45 minutes away. We also hiked Cedar Breaks (which was very picturesque). The host responded to us very quickly and friendly. We will definitely request to stay here again. Probably for a longer time, though.
It was beautiful, inside and out. We saw wildlife and amazing views. Night brought mostly clear views of the Milky Way and meteors. It's also close to a wealth of outdoor adventures. We loved our stay and we hope to return next summer!
Stayed 4 nights at this spectacular cabin. Pictures don’t do it justice - the wraparound deck is amazing. Great communication with the owner. Location about halfway between Bryce and Zion, and only 30 minutes from Cedar Breaks and Brian Head.
We had a great stay here at this lovely cabin! It’s very clean, plenty of amenities in the kitchen, and the views can’t be beat! Joan, the owner, was very attentive and I appreciated her text messages prior to our arrival to let us know some information about the cabin. We will definitely be back.
This cabin was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed sipping coffee from the wrap around deck, taking in the beautiful views, smores at the fire pit, star gazing after dark and much more. Centrally located between both Bryce Canyon and Zion. We also spent time in Kanab and attended the Star Party at Cedar Breaks National Monument. We will certainly visit again in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
I cannot express enough how beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located this home is if you're planning a stay in the Zion/Bryce Canyon area. I chose this home for my family (6 adults) because of it's location to these National Parks. And location was spot on! It was quiet, nestled among trees, and you felt solitude. There was nothing lacking in the home. Fully stocked kitchen - I even forgot taco seasoning and was able to make a homemade recipe with spices that had been left in the home! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. One item I had overlooked was that there was no AC, but keeping the windows closed during the day and opening them in the late afternoon and through the night worked perfectly. Our only issue while lounging in the afternoons was the direct sunlight through the windows - our solution was taping garbage bags on the window (hahahaha). Joan, the host, is WONDERFUL! Really the best host we've had in our home rental experience. She was readily available by text and shared lots of tips and recommendations. THANK YOU BUNCHES!!! If we come to the area again, we'll certainly book to stay! And you can bet I'll be telling any of my friends about this home.
The cabin and views were amazing! Everything we had hoped for! We cooked all of our meals in the cabin, enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and loved spending the mornings sipping coffee on the wrap around deck. This location was perfect for all of our trips to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
Beautiful cabin...breathtaking views, very clean and well appointed. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy getaway. Perfectly located between Zion and Bryce Canyon. Joan was super at communicating with us (including tips before we arrived) and quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Made for a wonderful visit to Southern Utah!
We had the best time … this cabin offered every amenity we could have asked for! From the welcoming fireplace, to the fully equipped kitchen (which we made great use of), to the wonderful toiletries in every bathroom, you just cannot ask for anything more!
Very nice clean home had everything we needed , comfortable beds , great views , lots of games. We had nice bonfires many nights with the fire pit. Would definitely stay again. Great location for doing all the National Parks
The Longview Lodge was so great. Beautiful home, updated amenities, great location and development, incredible view, cool weather, we loved it. We stayed over the fourth of July on a national parks trip. The owner was proactive, helpful, and great. Everything about the house was terrific and we were very comfortable with three adults and two children (could have fit more). Would definitely go back!
A beautiful cabin in a quiet, lush green forest away from the busy areas of Duck Creek. The cabin was spotless, very comfortable and well equipped. We were greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift. Though we had absolutely no complaints or issues, the owner was responsive to any and all questions. We will definitely be returning.
Our family of 5 + grandma could not have been happier calling your cabin home for 5 days in May. The weather was perfect and every detail of the cabin was complete. It was fully stocked and the quality of everything exceeded our expectations. We have not experienced a VRBO rental of this level of quality in any of our stays; we thank you for sharing!
We traveled with 6 adult family members to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. The cabin was a perfect place for us to visit both parks and relax in the evenings. There is very little to eat nearby and few grocery stores open on Sundays, so we shopped in Provo, UT on our way to the cabin, which worked well. The cabin is very clean, had beautiful decor and was well-stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our family vacation. I highly recommend spending some time outdoors at night...I've never seen so many stars!
My husband and I had a phenomenal stay at Longview Lodge! The cool breeze through the trees was a much welcomed retreat after long days at the nearby national parks. The location was within a 45 min - 1.5 hr extremely scenic drive to several parks (Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Staircase, Grand Canyon). We enjoyed the drives to the parks, then coming back to the cabin to grill up a home cooked meal (grill was directly connected to propane so didn’t have to worry about running out) and relax on the deck, which had a perfect view of the sunset. The bed was very comfortable which made getting up early to beat the park traffic much easier. Being able to get our laundry done on the last day before heading home was a much appreciated feature. We’d love to come back with a larger group (there were 2 additional sleeping areas upstairs we didn’t use with separate full bath) and stay a full week!
We had a great time staying at Longview. Our family of five enjoyed the views, the deck around the cabin, the firepit and stars in the night sky, and of course the Foosball table. We traveled to Zion and Bryce during our stay and found the cabin to be conveniently located. Since restaurants were closed in the evenings, we grilled and made dinner in the cabin. I would recommend the cabin to others looking for a quiet getaway.
