Owned and loved by the same people who bring you Beach Maverick you will also be sure to love this two story modern beachy retreat. This house is only half a block from Center Street where you will find delicious restaurants, funky shops, unique bars and nightlife. It is also less than a five minute walk to the beach. As soon as you pull up you will be welcomed by a large front porch complete with traditional haint blue paint on the ceiling and a comfy bed swing. Once inside you will find an open floor plan that allows for happy family gatherings as you prepare meals and talk about the day around the TV. There is one large bedroom downstairs with a king size bed and an ensuite bath. Upstairs are two large bedrooms with king size beds and en suite baths as well. They are separated by a comfortable lounge area where you and your family and friends can play games, read a good book or watch a great movie on TV. You can also catch up on your laundry! Each bedroom has a TV. There is an outdoor shower and the entire yard is fenced in so Fido can have room to play. Up to three well behaved house-broken and flea treated dogs under 100 pounds combined are welcome. Please include the size and breed when you inquire. A spiral staircase takes you up through 3 levels. Each floor has it's own private balcony and plenty of doors to let in the light and ocean breezes. The architectural detailing and furnishings are high end. Designer kitchen features marble counters, a 6 burner gas stove, Sub-Zero Frig and all the utensils to delight any chef. The Kitchen/Living room is on the 2nd floor with the Bedroom suites on the 1st and 3rd just enough separation and privacy for a multi family situation. brbrThe bedroom suites are a delight. Both master bedrooms open to over sized baths that feature dual vanities and large, walk in showers. The house has 4 beds (2 Kings and 2 Full size murphy beds). The Full size beds are in a suite off each King... it may not be private enough for a separate family, but certainly room enough for the kids or another adult. If unique is what you seek, this is the house for you. brFULL DISCLOSURE: br1. There are a lot of steps to get to the 3rd floor bedroom. br2. There are essentially two separate apartments sharing a large back yard, massive deck with our 'spa shack' (an outdoor clawfoot soaking tub + outdoor shower), a large hot tub (seats 4) and two separate screen porch areas- perfect for meals, games, and happy hour. brbrThe larger main half features a kitchen with granite countertops and stainless appliances and living area with 60 4K Smart TV ready for your subscriptions (no cable). It didn't used to be this bad, and we're sorry. Believe me, we don't receive any of those and get hit just as hard as the owners. Rates/minimum stays are seasonal and as much as 3x higher during popular summer times and weekends. We actually cover a portion of our housekeeping cost, because they do an amazing job and are the best we've found. The Palmetto Pearl is set back from the roadway on a high lot surrounded by a small forest of Palmetto (Palm) Trees and Grande Oaks. The back deck offers fabulous sunset's with private views of the estuaries and salt marshes of the Folly River. With easy access to the Beach, the Palmetto Pearl is additionally less than a 1/4 mile from the Washout reportedly some of the best surfing on the east coast, and the venue for many sanctioned surfing competitions throughout the year. The Palmetto Pearl is in close proximity to all Folly River Recreational Activities such as para-sailing or kayaking and canoeing expeditions. As well, public tennis courts are within 5 blocks of the house, only a short bike ride away or even shorter drive where parking is available. All of this and the comforts and privacy of a family home. Nestled among the Palmettos you can enjoy the Morning Sunrise or Afternoon Ocean Breezes on the screened porch that runs along the entire front of the house without baking in the heat of Charleston's summer sun or catch some afternoon rays or evening cocktails in complete privacy of the back sundeck which boasts a gas grill, generous seating and plenty of space for entertaining or just lounging about.
