This was our sixth stay here, and we always enjoy every visit. The layout is perfect for family, guests and pets. The front porch is comfortable and inviting, day and night. Jimmy is always responsive to any questions or requests.

Our host could not have been more welcoming. The home was perfect for our needs.

Everything was wonderful! The house was in a perfect location and had plenty of space. The host was very attentive and welcoming! Would definitely stay again!

This was our 2nd visit to this house in 2025! My friends and family love this home! It’s perfect for us! We’ve been staying here for almost 10 years and have enjoyed every visit.

House is comfortable. However the bathroom off the master bedroom is pretty tiny. Low seat toilet. We had no problem during our week. Porch comfortable. Not much of an ocean view. Trees and plants have grown taller. Beach access is near. Steps up to the walkway, down at the end, a bit of a walk in the sand to get to the water.

We love this house. We stay here every year! You can sit on the big front porch and hear the ocean. It is peaceful here! The owner is very nice and we have everything we need for a relaxing vacation.

This was our 2nd year staying at this home. 7 of us adults stayed very comfortably. There are 2 living rooms so people can separate if desired. Kitchen had everything we needed. My son-in-law loved the out door shower. Fenced back yard is a great plus. House sits across the street from the beach. The stairs are easy for the four legged friends. Our text for needs from the host were answered quickly and all our request were taken care of same day. The only drawback for my family is the spiral staircase and the layout of the downstairs bathroom. The only entrance is from the primary bedroom so the smaller bedroom guest have to pass through the primary. Can it be made into a Jack n Jill? I highly recommend this home.

Great location, house had all the amenities including beach toys and chairs, communication with owner was great and he responded very quickly to any questions would definitely stay here again!

The accomadations were great. the house had everything we needed for our stay. the host was very easy to communicate with. check in & out were very easy. We loved the large front porch area to hang out after a day at the beach and when it was raining. The bottom level of the house was a perfect place for my daughter's family to sleep ( with 2 children age 1 & 2). Loved that there was enough beach chairs for the 7 of us. My other daughter and grandson also enjoyed the bikes that were available and rode to town several times/day on them. The house is very close to the beach access, less than a 5 min. walk which was awesome. The house is located on the 2nd row and had a limited and small ocean view ( not something that can be changed but the pictures made it look like the view was going to be larger than it really is & I personally was looking forward to a bigger / better ocean view). Otherwise the vacation house was excellent for our needs and close to center street which had many good restaurants/ shops. My family really enjoyed folly beach and the location of the house. We would stay there again.

This was the perfect house for us; myself, my 3 adult children and a couple of fiancées. Plenty of room for everyone. Love the porch and outdoor shower. A 2 minute walk to the beach. Jimmy was very responsive and communication was easy. Really like that good beach chairs were provided. House was clean and everything worked. No issues. Highly recommend for an enjoyable Folly Beach vacation.

This beach house was very cozy and comfortable! Vintage furniture reminded me of my childhood home. Close to the beach, spacious, and our golden retriever loved the secure fenced-in yard. The kitchen was a chef's delight with every utensil we needed for lots of cooking, and the front porch was just perfect for morning coffee and evening chats while listening to the breaking waves and smelling the jasmine intertwined in the backyard fence.. There was plenty of towels, linens,beach chairs, and everything we needed for the week. We enjoyed watching a large hawk resting in the big tree near the house along with many different bird species. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Beautiful older beach home with perfect location away from large crowds and just across from the beach with access less than a block away. The porch is perfect for sitting and enjoying your coffee in the morning with the sounds of birds and the ocean. Our family of 9 had plenty of room. Definitely a must rent.

Overall property was clean upon walking in. Owner was proactive in his communication and he let us know when the property was ready. It was great to have bedding and towels included. Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Home was comfortable and worked well for our family. Location was perfect t and only steps to the beach access path. It was about a mile walk to restaurants and shops which we did frequently. Overall very happy with our stay. Thank you Jimmy!

We enjoyed our most recent visit (as always). This was the first of what has become my family and friends biannual visits to Jimmy’s beach house! We love sitting on the porch, listening to the ocean, reading and just watching the world go by. The house is always clean and has a large, well stocked kitchen for all those delicious fresh seafood meals we love to cook. We’re already looking forward to our next visit in the Fall.

Stayed for the News Years Holiday at 706 W Ashley. House is well laid out and very comfortable. Easy walk to beach and great view of ocean from the 2nd floor.

Quiet and convenient location for a nice family holiday. Easy walking distance to pier and commercial area and also to the Folly Beach County Park. Two TV living areas allowed enjoyment of football games and family movies at the same time. Kitchen well stocked. Owner communication was excellent.

We're a family of adult siblings and partners who get together on Folly Beach a couple times a year. We like to cook together, play board games, and spend time on the beach. This rental was just right and checked all those boxes. The kitchen was well stocked with every kind of cookware and utensil we needed, plus plenty of kitchen towels which is rarely the case in beach rental. We liked the open floor plan so whoever was cooking could still be part of the conversation in the living room. The furniture and beds were all comfortable. The second-floor front porch is large but unscreened, which is good for getting the breeze but might not be good for mosquitos. However, we were there in November so bugs weren't an issue. We brought our dog and were glad to have a fenced back yard, which has a large beautiful live oak tree in the back corner. There were bicycles, beach chairs, and even a bocce ball set for our use -- unexpected and a nice touch. Beach access is diagonally across the street. Jimmy was super responsive to any question I had. Overall a great place to stay!

The house was a perfect place for 5 retired girlfriends to relax and unwind. We loved the place and the location was perfect. The area was quiet, but close to town and the beach was just steps away. The size of the house was just perfect, too.

We love our visits to this home in Folly. We were lucky enough to visit twice this year. Halloween & Porch Fest were highlights of this trip. I can’t wait to get back in the Spring!

We have been coming to Folly for 15 years. We have stayed in a variety of houses but James’s house just had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, great front porch with ocean view. Very clean, nice towels and linens, well equipped kitchen. And pet friendly which is a must for us. I highly recommend this Folly home. Thanks James!

We absolutely LOVED this house!! It was perfect for our family. The big, open front porch was our favorite place to all hang out. Lots of seating. Beach access only steps away from house. Perfect, perfect, perfect!!!

Our second year staying here and we love it. You can here the ocean from the large front porch, you have a little view of the ocean and it is only 2 houses down to beach access. Love having 2 floors so we (2 couples) have plenty of privacy at bedtime and showering, etc. We will definitely stay there again when we go to Folly. We actually changed our vacation week so we could book this house. The owner is always available if you have a question or concern. Can't say enough, we just love the quiet location, the house and Folly Beach! It is also pet friendly!

Clean, convenient, and well located. Fenced-in back yard with direct stair access, recently updated bathrooms. Especially pleased with owner's provision for beach chairs, boogie boards, gas for nice Weber grill, a backup charcoal grill, games, books, outstanding Kitchen supplies and utensils. Much better than your average beach rental.

We were so happy to stay in the second row at the beach!! Lots of room, everything we could need to enjoy our stay. Mr Dupre was the perfect host.
