We have made some recent updates to the house. The pictures have all be updated to show the recent changes we have made. We have new carpet throughout the house and new paint in the bedrooms. Newport also has some great restaurants if you want to take a break from cooking on your vacation. There are 2 bedrooms one each floor and two shared bathrooms, one on each floor. The downstairs sitting area has a tv and is a great place to relax and have conversations. The upstairs great room has views of the ocean, a sectional that you will sink in to while you enjoy the big tv. The game table and open space make it a nice place to gather, play games and watch movies.brbr From June 15 - Labor Day there is a 3 night minimum stay.brbrThis is the last house on a gravel road with a small creek on one side down to the beach. The beach has a small creek pool with a sandy beach bottom - safe for little kids and away from waves. Additionally, there is a fully gated deck with latched gate, which is safe for the young ones.brbrEnjoy breakfast on the deck while overlooking the endless ocean. Wake to waves, gaze on the deep blue, and if you're lucky, watch a whale or two. Only steps away from surf and fun. Play on Agate Beach in the sand or in its tide pools or head to the Oregon Coast Aquarium or Nye Beach close by. From the minute you walk into A Slice of Newport you will feel right at home. It is a lovely open floor plan with lots of windows to enjoy the sunshine or to watch a huge storm roll in. There is a deck to sit outside and BBQ or relax in the sunshine. The house has a design that allows families to enjoy several activities at a time. Kids can be watching T.V. while the adults sit in the other room and relax with a nice glass of wine. There is a small library that you can sit and read a nice book and all of these rooms have sliding pocket doors so you can close them off to others. The kitchen is well stocked for any kind of cooking for a group including the staples and spices. Sitting 2 block from the Bay Front you can stroll down the hill and go see all of the huge fishing boats or go shopping along the Bay Front. There are several restaurants down on the Bay Front as well. The house is centrally located to be close to everything Newport has to offer. It is a 5 minute drive to the ocean......or to go South of the Yaquina Bridge to take in the Aquarium or the Oregon Science Center. There are also a couple of shops in town that offer glass blowing classes and one is 1 block from the house. There are fishing charters available out of Newport or Depot Bay. Crabbing can be done off of the docks in town or out on the pier under the bridge near the Rogue Brewery. The house also has some puzzles and games for a rainy day to entertain your kids.
