The large lot boasts gorgeous lilacs, honeysuckle and iris blooming in spring, a wild butterfly garden in summer, and plenty of room for snow men and snow forts in the winter. Wildlife frequently visit the neighborhood, including mule deer, rabbits, quail, hawks and hummingbirds. A great house for out-of-town grandparents visiting family in the area. The Westlake Cottage is located north of Portland Ave on NW 3rd St on a quiet residential street of older homes.brbrThe house can sleep up to 5 people in two bedrooms with queen-sized beds in each ('NovoPure' organic construction mattresses) and on a full-sized futon couch in a semi-private family room. A gas fireplace makes the living room cozy in winter, and in summer there's AC in the back half of the house. Summer sun makes the whole house cheery. brbrThe First Street Rapids on the Deschutes River (a great place to swim on hot summer days) is a short, four block walk from the Westlake Cottage.
