This modern rustic home sits on an acre of land with a beautiful view of Lake James and the North Carolina mountains. The home features 3 master bedrooms each with private bathrooms and huge showers. An additional 4th bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the bunk-room which accommodates 6. The lower level family room is equipped with bar area, mini fridge, television, numerous games, pool table and activities table. There are amenities throughout including most appliances and cooking utensils you'll need, place settings for 16, BBQ grill with grilling accessories. There is plenty of outdoor seating on the decks and at the dock for relaxation and take in the scenery, especially the incredible sunsets.brbrAt the lake is a private dock with a 24 ft. boat slip. 2 Kayaks, 2 Paddle-boards and life vests are available for guests. Our dock and everything on it is provided for our guests. You may bring your own boat or rent one locally. The neighborhood provides a locked, boat trailer storage area offsite for guests and homeowners.brbrINTERNET: WiFi internet provided by Starlink is available at the house right now. It provides high speed access but will not seem as fast as cable or fiber. It's more than adequate for streaming movies, zoom calls, etc.brbrThere is a pool and common area near the entrance of the neighborhood which will be accessible to all guests, however, it is not always open so please don't use the pool as a basis for your stay (amended 7/18/23). Satellite TV in living room and vcr with movies in loft. No WIFI sorry, but you wont need it. Sit on the porch and unwind. Propane grill for grilling and unfinished basement with ice hockey table. Neighborhood has pool as well. Fire pit with benches.brbrOne of my pet peeves when traveling is having to wait for check in. Therefore, I always try to get the cabin ready and often can allow EARLY CHECK IN and/or LATE CHECK OUT.brbrThe cabin is not appropriate for children under age 10 and we do not allow pets or smoking (even outside). brbrOur neighborhood is one of the best parts of this rental. It is broken into two parts, both of which are gated. The lower part has only 2 houses in it and has a private community pool, a small stream, and lots of space to walk and bike. One of my recent renters fell in love with the neighborhood and purchased their own second home here.brbrOnly 4 miles to boat access ramp. Two state parks very close by - 1 with picnic areas and hiking and another with a sandy beach and swimming area. Easy access to Black Mountain (30 minutes) and Asheville (50 minutes). The Blue Ridge Parkway at Linville falls is only 45 minutes away and Linville caverns is a 40 minute drive. Both Marion and Morganton have cute downtowns and are both 15 minutes away in opposite directions. Morganton has a nice 4 mile paved greenway along a river which is great for walking or biking.
