Enjoy this beautiful, quiet retreat at the top of a mountain on a paved cul-de-sac with hot tub, pool table, poker table, full wet bar, 85 inch TV, a huge front porch, fire pit, and well-equipped chef’s kitchen.brThe great location in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains is less than 2.5 hours from many metro areas including Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga, TN, Ashville, NC, Knoxville, TN, Greenville, SC, Athens, GA, and Rome, GA. brThere is a huge wrap-around front porch with 6 rocking chairs, a glider, and a fire table to enjoy the beautiful long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lake Chatuge, and Mountain Harbour Golf Course, which are especially amazing around sunrise and sunset. brYou can cook a great meal in the well-equipped, chef’s kitchen with double ovens, a huge stove top, and granite counter tops. Or, put some steaks on the big gas grill on the back porch. The kitchen is well equipped with complete cookware set, knives set, a Keurig, and key small appliances such as food processor, blender, mixers, and a toaster. Whether you cook or pick-up food to-go, you can gather 12 people around the huge table in the breakfast area to enjoy the meal with amazing views.brThere is fun for all ages at Unwine’d with a View, including:br• Watch your favorite movie, show, or sporting event on one of the 7 new Samsung TVs, including an 85 inch for your viewing pleasure mounted in the bar room; br• Shoot some pool; br• Gather around a fire in the gravel fire pit area;br• Take up some outside games like corn hole or ladder ball; br• Play poker or one of the many other card games in the house at the large poker table with seating for 8 in the bar room; br• There are numerous games for kids of all ages;br• There is a PS4 with 2 controllers and several games;br• Enjoy the reading nook in the bunk room downstairs.brTo unwind and relax:br• Take a dip in the large hot tub on the back deck; br• Stretch out in the big Jacuzzi tub;br• Pick a rocking chair and enjoy the amazing views on the front porch; br• Curl up in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the Family room;br• Take a nap in the fresh mountain air, on the hammock or the day bed; br• Pick a book and find a comfortable spot to enjoy it.brFor sleeping, you can count on a good night’s rest in one of the 7 beds, all with new mattresses, including 2 kings with wonderful DreamCloud mattresses, 3 free-standing queens, and a twin XL over queen bunk bed. There is also a pull out sofa in the den upstairs that folds out to a queen bed. brIf you are wine lovers (like we are), you will love the huge wet bar downstairs, with wine racks and a dual zone wine cooler so you can have all your wines at the perfect temperature. You will find white and red wine glasses behind the bar downstairs and in the glass cabinets in the kitchen. There is also a large ice machine, beverage cooler, and a frozen drink blender behind the bar. There are numerous vineyards/wineries in the area.brThe house has good wifi coverage throughout. However, there is not fiber or cable in the area yet, and our internet connection from the house is LTE-based. This does not have sufficient band-width for full live video, and can be inconsistent, especially with many people on it. brWhen you are ready to venture out for some activities, you again have many great options:br• Fishing, boating or other activities on beautiful Lake Chatuge – If you have your own boat, kayaks, or paddle boards there are several access points close, or Margarita Jacks Marina is only about 4 miles, and Ridges Resort and Marina is about 20 minutes with a beach area, boat rentals, and a great restaurant right on the water;br• Golf – Mountain Harbour Golf club is about 1 mile away, with Chatuge Shores Golf Course and Brasstown Valley Golf Club both within 30 minutes;br• Numerous Hiking and/or biking trails that are close, such as Jackrabbit Mountain, Chatuge Dam Trail, Bell Mountain, Beech Creek Trailhead, and 12 Appalachian Trail access points within 40 miles;br• Many tubing and white water rafting options within an hour of the house - in the Copperhill, TN area, the Andrews, NC area, and the Bryson City, NC area;br• Georgia Mountain Fair Ground in Hiawassee is only about 10 miles away, and hosts multiple events and concerts throughout the year, including Acoustic Sunsets at Hamilton Gardens - Spring Series in Mid-April through early May, the The Rhododendron Festival in April & May, The Memory Lane Classic Car show in late April, the Hiawassee Highlands Wine Festival & the Hiawassee Pro Rodeo both in May.br• Bell Mountain has some of the most amazing views in the area and is about a 30-minute drive;br• There are at least 8 vineyards/wineries within a 1 hour drive, including 3 less than 30 minutes away, and many of them have tastings, tours, and/or live music on certain nights;br• Many Parks in the area such as Meeks Park, Tows County Pickleball Complex, Cool Park, Vogel State Park, Unicoi State Park, and others;br• Hamilton Gardens at Lake Chatuge is a beautiful 33-acre botanical garden;br• For some indoor entertainment, Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel is about 30 minutes away in Murphy, NC with 60,000 sq feet of slots and traditional table games, bowling and arcade as well as numerous restaurants;br• There are many great dining options within 30 minutes including Fine Dining, Italian, Mexican, Seafood, Bars, Burgers, Pizza, BBQ, Breweries and more;br• Shopping – there are numerous little shops and stores in Hayesville, Hiawassee, Young Harris and the other towns in the area;br• Many wonderful mountain towns to explore and enjoy within about 1 hour drive such as Hayesville, NC (15 min); Hiawassee, GA ( 20 min); Young Harris, GA (~20 min); Murphy, NC (30 min); Blairsville, GA (~30 min); Helen, GA; Blue Ridge, GA; Franklin, NC; Bryson City, NC and more.brbr
