The little house is next to a 2 acre pond, in a small neighborhood, 15 minutes from Brevard and Rosman. Upstairs is a covered porch with a bench, and down stairs is another covered porch with a swing and laundry room. Inside is a Queen bed, full kitchen, and a three-quarter bathroom. Pet friendly. Outside is a fire pit and gas grill. This is the only house on the pond, and you will have your own dock with a paddle boat. East Fork River, Dupont, and Pisgah Forest are all nearby, which provide hiking, biking, and fishing. So bring your fishing poles/floats and swim at your own risk.brThe pond may fluctuate depending on the seasons. It is out of my control and has a mind of its own. One day it may be full for months and then the next it may be empty. There is another dock that is for the neighbors. Almost a boat house without the rocking waves.brWe are working on a firepit outside on the corner of the property, you can see where we have had a small fire before. Two hammocks are ready to enjoy around the fire pit, looking out at the pond. The big outside trash can is for bagged trash only. We also provide a propane grill that is just steps away from the kitchen. In the laundry room downstairs is a stackable washer/dryer, a water spigot with hose for rinsing off, pond/dog towels, and cleaning supplies. We are pet friendly.brOnce you make a reservation I will send you more information and needed directions, GPS will take you somewhere else. We do provide a turnaround spot and parking. The driveway is somewhat narrow. We live a mile or so down the road and can be available when needed. I clean other vacation rentals as well as our own. brCheck out Sassafras Mountain, which has a 360 degree view and is 15 minutes down the road out East Fork River, a fisherman's paradise. Living Waters is my favorite water falls to adventure on, it is a 30 minute drive up curvy 215, near the blue ridge parkway.brbrbr

We have kept as many of the original features as possible, such as the moss-covered bark siding in the front and the rustic mosaic on the (nonworking) fireplace.brbrEntering the cabin through the front porch, you will find a family room/dining area with kitchenette, which as a microwave, small fridge/freezer, toaster oven, toaster, coffee machine, electric teapot and two-burner portable cooktop.brbrNext, there is a laundry area and a fully renovated bathroom.brbrThe back room has a comfy sectional sofa that converts into a full size bed, as well as closet space, French doors overlooking a small deck, and a large screen TV equipped with Apple TV.brbrThe large room upstairs has a queen bed and a twin bed, as well as a desk and a large picture window looking out over our beautiful property. Caution: The steps are STEEP, we do not recommend this for small children and anyone with mobility issues.brbrWe are VERY dog friendly and welcome up to 2 well behaved pups. We have dog hosts and sometimes foster other dogs so if you have issues with dogs this is not the place to be! We have a large beech tree securing the staircase with rustic mountain laurel twigs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, dishes utensils, etc., and granite counter tops. Bedrooms are comfortable with cotton sheets, and soft quilts and comforters. Thirsty cotton bath towels are in each bathroom. If we've forgotten anything, please let us know.
