Next to the brook, there is a sitting area with chairs and a fire pit for you to sit and watch skiers in the winter or wildlife the rest of the year. Deer are plentiful and you might have a chipmunk, hedgehog, or bear stroll by to say hello. brActive lifestyle and adventure seekers, this is your location! Why is your cabin called the SiSo the Rock brSiSo (pronounced C So) is short for Ski In Ski Out and the Rock is because of the massive rock in the back yard and the 30' shear rock walls that are on 2 sides of the cabin. brbrWhen you arrive you will find a spacious parking area that will accommodate 4 large vehicles. One flight of stairs and a short walkway that enters on the upper level of the cabin. The Rock has plenty of room to roam. The house has 3 levels with the upper level containing the kitchen, dining room, family room, and a half bath. On the second level you will find the Primary bedroom (1 King) with en-suite bath and private balcony that overlooks our small creek and two additional bedrooms (1 Queen and 1 King) with another full bath. The ground floor has a bunk room, with a full bath and a game room with an arcade grade air hockey table, The house is stocked with 700 thread count sheets and new towels for the comfort of our guests. We have a Keurig coffee maker with traditional coffee and k-cup ability with a variety of K-cups available. brWe are a family orientated property, with the primary focus on comfort and convenience, perfect for kids and families! brbrbrNewer skiers will have more space to refine their skills located right out the back door of the cabin, called Carolina Caribbean.brLift #1 is right out the backdoor and the Beech Mountain Resort Village is a short walk down the slope. Have your family sit on one of the 3 decks and watch the kids play while you enjoy your drink because you are right in the heart of where things are happening! brbr*The house has a Ring door bell camera at the front entrance. This is mainly to monitor the walk path of snow and trespassers. We also have a camera in the rear of the house to monitor snowfall conditions. For your privacy there are no cameras inside the cabin. brbr*The house has paved city roads leading to it, that are plowed during the ski season.brbr* We rent up to 3 weeks maximum at a time...if your booking is automatically accepted we will refund you immediately and advise of us doing so. Ironing board, and iron, with hangers in the closets. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are in the showers. The queen bedroom has a balcony with a ski swing outside to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen and family room are on the second floor, along with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountain. Located on a large wooded lot with amazing views and conveniently located off the Beech Mtn Parkway. In summer, hike the local trails, golf, visit wineries, ride a zip line or alpine coaster, or visit a local festival/concert. Winter turns the mtn into a wonderland with skiing/sledding and a hot tub or cozy fire to help stay warm. We invite you to our mtn paradise to reconnect and recharge!brbrOur mountain cabin boasts a unique layout. All bedrooms are located on the lower level along with two full bathrooms. The upper level is a great open room including fireplace, living/dining, kitchen space with bar, and a 1/2 bathroom. The two levels are connected by a charming spiral staircase. A tree stands tall in the center of the great room and the views are magnificent all the way around. Firewood for the stone fireplace is provided outside as you go upstairs to enter the property. We provide a starter kit of supplies for the kitchen and bathroom (see Welcome Guide for details). Two levels of decking offer vistas of the mountains and wooded areas surrounding our home. brbrDownstairs includes 4 bedrooms with 2 on each side of the hallway. Two bedrooms have queen beds, one has bunkbed with a twin over queen bed, and a twin daybed with a twin trundle. The 2 newly remodeled full bathrooms are found on each end of the hallway. One has a walk-in shower and the other has a bathtub. The hot tub is located on the lower deck with easy access from the bedroom.brbr***Please note***brThere is construction at the property next door that is nearing completion in early November 2025. Most of the outdoor work is complete, but guests may experience some noise during weekdays from 8am-4pm including sounds from equipment and construction activity. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as the work is temporary and beyond our control.brbr-While we are located only 4 tenths of a mile from the ski resort, we are not technically a ski in/out as this route is not conducive to walking. It can be very busy with lots of curves, snow banks, and does not have sidewalks. One option is to walk our side road up a slight incline (10 min) and you can get to the new beginner slope (Carolina Caribbean). We provide directions if you wish to walk.brbr-Message us and ask about our early check-in & check-out options.brbr-The spiral staircase that connects the upper and lower level on the interior may be a bit tricky for small children, those with mobility issues, or pets. But there is easy access to both levels via the exterior stairs.brbr-We welcome your dog (as we know ours are members of the family) but please limit to one or two dogs weighing no more than 120 lbs altogether (unless given approval). Exceptions may apply for known aggressive/restricted breeds. A non-refundable pet fee applies. Dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside of the home. No cats or other animals allowed. To add one or two pets to the reservation, please select I am traveling with pets under Travelers when booking and the pet fee is automatically added to the host fees.brbr-Guests will have access to the entire property with the exception of locked owners closets. There is a security camera on the front of the home facing the parking area. It is for security and to add motion activated lighting to the entrance of the home. It in no way views any areas of the home guests would be using.

The Emerald Outback trail system is also located on Beech Mountain and includes over 8 miles of trails near the summit.brbrA short 1- mile drive will take you to the Beech Mountain Ski resort which includes the ski slopes, mountain biking trails, scenic chair lift, disc golf course, and the Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Do not leave any food or trash outside the home. Do not leave food in your vehicles. Winter weather can occur here from November through April. This property is accessed and maintained via a paved road and a gravel parking area, all of which may be icy or snowy during winter weather.
