You will love this classic beach house that sits right on the ocean with upstairs and downstairs porches affording fantastic views and ocean access! It is cozy and comfortable, old school, with no frills, but with all that is needed for a fun stay at the beach in a super location. brbrThere are 2 full baths with showers, a third bath with a claw foot tub, and another half bath. brbrThe downstairs master has private bath and king bed. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms, 2 with king size beds. One of the king rooms also has 3 twins and is usually claimed by our grandchildren. The other 2 bedrooms upstairs have queen size beds. There is a full bath with shower upstairs as well as a half bath. brAdditionally, there is an outdoor shower which we all seem to prefer in the summer. All linens are included, towels and sheets, as well as a stocked kitchen, including mixer, blender, processor, toaster, coffee maker, pots/pans and cooking utensils. There are games, books and puzzles that tend to accumulate over the years. Bikes, beach games/toys, rafts etc camp out in the basement/garage. The washer/dryer are in the basement as well. Most of our time is spent on the porch and front deck, overlooking the ocean. There is most often a wonderful breeze and always a spectacular view. A gas grill can be rolled out of the garage for grilling. A second refrigerator is in the basement which comes in handy for extra drinks, overflow food and a little extra freezer space.brThis house has been in our family a very long time and our memories from all the years are rich. It is an old classic, which we love, and very comfortable, inviting you to relax and enjoy your stay at the beach. You can feel the love when you walk in the door. Fort Macon is just down the road from us. Local bars and music venues. Great shops in Atlantic Beach, downtown Morehead City and Beaufort. Sanitary Restaurant and Ruddy Duck are great seafood places in Morehead City and there are also chain restaurants such as Long Horn and Olive Garden. There are also ferries that leave out of Morehead City, Beaufort and Harker's Island to and from Shackleford Island (wild horses and sea shell hunting), Cape Lookout National Seashore which includes the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and historical buildings, Sand Dollar Island and Rachel Carson Reserve. There are fishing charters available and dolphin cruises. There really is so much to do and see.
