It comes with a deeded lakefront parcel of property with a dock on Fourth Lake that is a short 0.1 mile or 3 minute walk on a private road from the house. Kayak and stand-up paddleboard included with the rental. Excellent location for fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, etc. (note: no motorized watercraft allowed at the dock; non-motorized equipment only). The home is located just off Trail 5 and is close to other hiking trails. Outdoor deck with gas BBQ grill, patio furniture, ample parking.brbrThe layout of this home makes it a perfect gathering spot for families. The home has an open living/dining/kitchen floor plan, where multiple people can comfortably gather. Fully equipped kitchen. Built in 2001, inside you will find 1,600 square feet of spacious, new living areas. Three bedrooms (all with log beds, blankets and pillows,) two baths, full kitchen with island, dining room and large living room overlooking the Moose, and wrap around porch will provide you and your family space to enjoy each other or solitude if desired. We prefer our guests bring their own bath towels and linens, although we do offer a linen service available for a $75 fee. brbrOutside you are minutes away from all the splendor that makes the Adirondacks a magical place. Every morning you can canoe or kayak the Moose; a beautiful, serene, quiet nature sanctuary where you can visit remote sandy beaches, look for loons, otter, woodpeckers, and blue herons. Just an 8-minute drive from Old Forge, this private cottage has everything you could need on an Adirondack vacation. br___ SANDY BEACH ___ The sandy beach area has gradual walk-in, perfect for kids to play in the water, it’s shallow enough, quite a way’s out so lots of space for the kids to splash about. The sandy beach provides easy lake access for getting kayaks in and out of the lake. br___ LOONS ___ We have Loon Family’s living in the cove on 1st Lake. Pack your binoculars so you can be thrilled by loon sightings swimming about, whose sound is so symbolic of the Adirondacks. The loon wail or long howl is used to re-establish contact with a separated mate. Male loons have a unique yodel, a series of repeated alternating high and low notes, that advertise their territory. br___ FISHING ___ Fishing must be good as Loons primarily diet is fish. The Fulton Chain of Lakes has Bass, Bullhead, Perch, Pike, Tiger Muskie, Trout and Sunfish. New York State stocks Trout and Tiger Muskellunge in the spring. br___ DOCK ___ You can park a power boat all week at the dock; high water mark is nominally three (3) feet water depth at the end of dock.
