We've recently refreshed the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. We also have a huge backyard, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.brbrMain floor includes a spacious kitchen with all the amenties plus an island with seating for two; dining room seats four with open access to the kitchen, enclosed front sunroom, bright bathroom with separate tub and shower, primary bedroom with queen bed and direct bathroom access; and living area with t.v. and pull out sofa. Upstairs has another full bathroom with shower, a bunk bed (two twins) and one single bed, and a separate room with a queen bed and t.v. Free laundry (washer/dryer) located in the basement. Lake Michigan is an average five-minute walk from the deck.brbrThe spacebrNestled atop a forested dune surrounded by a dense pine and oak forest, this treehouse cottage was renovated with the most sustainable and local practices available: Beautiful stranded bamboo floors throughout, 12 wide pine board walls and ceilings, an amazing R25 shell rating and VOC-free paint, to name a few. The structure provides a cool temperature with just the use of ceiling fans on most nights.brbrPLEAE NOTE: the kitchen is separated downstairs from the bedroom and bathroom quarters, and is accessible via a partially-covered stairway outside. Features include a large deck overlooking the woods that ensures lazy days relaxing and long nights listening to the sounds of the forest over drinks and conversation. Or if the beach is your pleasure, you're a 5-minute walk away with access to the association's private beach on Lake Michigan. Look south and you'll see Charles Mears State Park (a 10-minute walk if you choose) or find a quiet spot on a stretch of less inhabited beachfront to the north.brbrGuest access:brGuests will have access to private association beach on the big lake, wifi via cable modem, grill, television, and landline phone. We offer 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and gorgeous views from almost every angle. brbrThree of the bedrooms are on the upper level. The primary bedroom overlooks the lake and offers a queen size bed, the west bedroom offers a private full bathroom with step in shower, a queen size bed and a trundle with two twin beds, and the middle bedroom offers a queen size bed and bunk bed with two twin beds. The second full bathroom offering a bathtub and shower is also located on the upper level. Tucked away on the upper level, you will also find a cozy reading nook. It's sure to be a hit with the youngsters! The walk-out basement doubles as the 4th bedroom and makes for the perfect hangout for all ages offering a foosball table, Smart TV and two twin over full bunk sets. The main level sunroom offers a daybed for an additional sleeping accommodations. brbrAmongst the expansive open floor plan of the main level, spacious upper level, cozy reading nook, and the walkout basement/game room/fourth bedroom there is plenty of space for all to enjoy. For your comfort and convenience our home is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a gas fireplace, main floor washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a second Smart TV located in the living room. We also have a Generac Generator, so you never have to worry about loosing power if a bad storm hits the area during your stay! The half bath, located on the main level is handicap accessible. We also provide a high chair and pack n play for those traveling with young children. brbrOutside, you have your own private beach/campfire area with a rowboat, canoe, 4 kayaks, a dock, and complete freedom to enjoy private Oxbow Lake. We provide ample firewood, so no need to buy it elsewhere. Oxbow Lake is 100 feet deep, and has excellent fishing year round. While the lake is perfect for canoeing/kayaking and passing the time gathered around the lake front, it is not very suitable for swimming due to the vegetation that grows along the frontage. There is no public boat launch on the lake, but you may bring your own trolling motor for the row boat. The deck overlooking the lake provides a gas grill and outdoor dining accommodations. brbrIf you'd like to see other sights, Ludington is only 12 minutes away, with the new Stix restaurant/bar, Jamesport Brewery, or Ludington's own House of Flavors, where it all started. Pentwater is 10 minutes, and Ludington State Park is 20 minutes. Several Lake Michigan beaches are located within 10 - 15 minutes including Ludington's Stearns Park Beach, Summit Park, Buttersville Park, and Pentwater Beach. There are also many local golf courses, winery's, restaurants, and much more. Visit the S.S.
