Cub Lake is a pristine no wake lake, with a sandy bottom and shallow entry from the dock. The cabin sits on a hill with multi-level decks (and stairs) that take you down to the lake level. The levels include a fire pit area, an outdoor dining space, and a dock with room to lounge. Available for use is a pedal boat, two kayaks, an 18-foot floating mat, and fishing gear.brbrAs soon as you enter the cabin, you are immediately greeted with window views of the lake! This first floor is designed for open-concept living, complete with a fully-stocked kitchen, spacious living room, dining room, and bar area. The living room includes a gas fireplace and 65” Samsung Smart TV with Roku connectivity (BYOP - bring your own passwords). The rest of the main level consists of a laundry room with a washer, dryer, and ample storage, as well as one full bathroom, complete with a shower and separate clawfoot tub.brbrAs you move upstairs, the cabin charm continues, with wood wall paneling, hand-carved staircase railings, and stained glass windows. It includes one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and 3 bedrooms - one with a king bed, another with a queen bed, and the last with a queen bed and two twin beds. We call the last bedroom, the suite room because it’s huge! It boasts a reading corner, work area with desk and bookshelf, and an oversized closet.brbrWe are dog-friendly! Our log cottage on Blue Lake is in a beautiful area of Northwest Michigan. If you like peace and quiet this is the lake front cottage for you. The cottage sits on 100' of frontage and is located on the East side of the lake so we get great sunsets. The fall colors are beautiful. Almost every room in the cottage has a great view of the lake. Listen to the loons calling through out the day and watch the sunset in the evening. There is wildlife galore. Blue Lake is an all sports lake connected by two other lakes. Little Blue to the South and North Blue to the North. Blue Lake is a springfed lake and it's deepest point is 85'. We have many different species of fish so bring the fishing gear and boat. We do have a 40' dock and also a 12' rowboat for your use. There are also ATV and snowmobile trails just down the road from the cottage. This area of Kalkaska County is known as the snow belt. So we get plenty of snow for snowmobiling and skiing. The Blue Bear trail runs right around this area. We have many ski resorts close by. There are many golf courses, wineries, and casinos in the area.
