Trails connect to the Forks in the south, Greenville (Moosehead Lake) in the east, Canada to the north and Eustis and Rangeley to the west.brbrIf ice fishing is what you like, you can walk down to the lake from the front of the cabin (please note; it's a tad steep with no maintained pathway) and you're right on the lake! Big Wood Pond is known for trout and salmon action throughout the winter. Night fishing for cusk could land you a whopper!brbrLike snowshoeing Strap on those snowshoes and experience the quiet and serenity of a snow-covered landscape. Old Québec is the most intact fortified town north of Mexico, retaining its colonial architecture for over 400 years. It is the historic and cultural heart of Québec City, and the birthplace of French North America. Don't forget your passport!brbrThe cabin is conveniently located in town with an easy walk to Bishop's convenience store (best pizza around!) and local restaurants. You can access the snowmobile trails off of Main Street by driving only a quarter-mile to a half-mile from the cabin in either direction.brbrThe cabin does share a driveway with neighbors on Main Street, so please be respectful of their parking and be respectful of driving sleds over any bare pavement. Plowing is provided and stairs to the cabin are cleared but may be slippery so please use caution! All the local roads are ATV access routes leading to one of Maines most desirable ATV trail systems, or the snowmobile trails (ITS89) are less than 100 yards away, where you can head for hundreds of miles of trails in Canada, or spend a day doing lunch at a snowmobiler favorite Pittson Farms! Jackman is known for some of the greatest white tail deer hunting in November. Maine moose hunting in Jackman is a treat as well if you're lucky enough to be drawn for a permit. ATV/snowmobile rentals are available in Jackman from 201 Powersports. If you love hiking, you'll find some of the most beautiful views and natural waterfalls Maine has to offer. Turn key location, you are close to it all,,, Terrific Restaurants, Stores, Gas stations, Recreational Registration Location, Hardware store, and some of the best taken care of Trails… Jackman has it all, including a great Recreational Motorsport location 5 minutes away… brThe house is very comfortable and well taken care of, and I would appreciate it being kept that way and you will always be welcome back … No smoking inside plz… Sleeps 6 with plenty of closet space, washer and dryer (supplies are not provided), large common areas with television wifi cable, full kitchen w/ stove, fridge, micro, toaster oven.. Heat and window a/c.. We share a driveway with neighbor (so please be mindful of them) but it is plenty big to fit 2 trailers and 2 full-size trucks.. Plowing is provided by contractor when needed, but the main entrance stairs are renters responsibility so no one gets hurt… br“Important” weather does what ever it wants in Jackman, so weather conditions are not a sufficient reason to last minute cancel, early departure, or not show up and hold owner responsible at any time.. Our vacation rental includes a queen bed on the first floor with a pull out queen sofa bed in the living room. The loft area has a queen bed and a pull out full sofa bed. The well-equipped full kitchen is great along with a washer and dryer. The exterior we have a large deck with a picnic table to enjoy the yard. Plenty of parking for your vehicles, trailers, and recreational toys up top at the house or down at the garage. brbr*Unfortunately at this time the ATV trail access is closed per Weyerhaeuser* brbr*ROW access to Long Pond must go out Loop Rd.
