Two rolls of toilet paper are left in each bathroom. Guests are responsible for purchasing additional toilet paper. Please note: Dog(s) are allowed with the property owner's approval, but cats are not. brSpruce Point waterfront home on 2 acres of property with 300' of ocean shoreline, including a small beach area, and only a 5 minute walk to the famous Spruce Point Inn! brThe 4 bedroom home offers plenty of space for family and room to explore and gaze to the ocean as boats pass by. There's a table and chairs at the water's edge for afternoon cocktails or morning coffee. Or, just lie in the hammock and listen to the waves lapping the shoreline while an occasional lobster boat hauls up traps in your front yard! A washer and dryer is available in the basement. Although, generally not needed because the sea breeze keeps temps cooler at our house, there is a 5 zone heat pump with A/C. Separate controls for units in both upstairs BRs, one downstairs BR, LR, and DR. For, summer cookouts, there is a 4 burner Weber gas grill with separate warmer.brbrRental Policy:brPets: Prior approval is required! Pet Fee- $250 per pet, maximum of (2). Additional security may be required. It is expected that the house will be cleaned up prior to leaving according to the rental agreement. Being pet owner's ourselves, we trust people will respect the property and clean up after your pet. We spent months undoing years of well-intentioned but misguided modernizing — pulling down plaster to reveal a stunning original wood ceiling in the den, sanding floors back to their 1830 glory, and letting the bones of this place breathe again. The result is a home that feels genuinely old in all the right ways.brbrTHE SPACEbrThe den is the heart of the house — original wood ceiling, beautiful restored floors, and a perfectly designed cozy cave that will make you want to cancel your plans and just... stay in. There`s something about a room that took this much work to uncover that you feel when you`re in it, even if you can`t quite explain why.brbrThe dining room features a wood stove, a beautiful table for sharing a meal or a game of cards, and sitting chairs for your morning coffee or a delightful book. brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked and ready for real cooking — or at minimum, serious coffee.brbrThe queen bedroom has a dedicated workspace if you need to sneak in a few hours of work. The king bedroom has a desk too, because sometimes you just need to spread out.brbrOne bathroom. It is, charmingly, a one-person-at-a-time situation. Plan accordingly.brbrA WORD ABOUT THE QUIRKSbrThis is a 195-year-old house, and we want you to love it exactly as it is — which means a quick honest briefing:brYou may hit your head at least once. We`re not saying where, but there will be delightfully placed warnings. It`s part of the adventure.brbrThe staircase has character. It is not the staircase you want to negotiate after a long night at the Harbor. We say this with love.brbrThere is a mysterious box on the floor at the top of the stairs. We do not know what it is. It has been there since 1830 and it`s not going anywhere. Watch your toe.brbrNone of this is a problem. All of it is the point.brbrOUTSIDEbrThe backyard is fenced and dog friendly — bring your pup, no fee, no breed restrictions, no judgment. We`re in the process of installing a permanent fence, so for now there`s a temporary one in place. It does the job, but we wanted you to know.brbrOne dedicated parking spot is yours, with street parking available as well.brbrTHE LOCATIONbrOne block to the water. Walking distance to everything Boothbay Harbor has to offer — the harbor itself, local restaurants, shops, boat tours, and that specific kind of Maine coastal energy that`s impossible to fully describe but very easy to fall in love with.
