Please take a moment to ensure the deadbolt is locked as you come and go. From the outside, simply press the “Schlage” oval and turn the deadbolt. Give it a tug afterward to ensure it is locked. This area is shared with the between both apartments. They usually come out to die, but please do your best to keep them out of the house by keeping the windows and doors shut at all times, only bringing food items to the dining room, and keeping trash in the trash can.brbrbrbrDue to many delays, construction on the property next door is indefinitely halted. You will be centrally located just 10-minutes from Downtown Savannah, 15-minutes from the beach at Tybee Island, and just a couple of minutes from Walmart, Publix, Gas Stations, Docks, Restaurants, and Bars. Most homes are tucked into the Marsh, while ours is towards the front - virtually leaving us with no neighbors to the left or right of the home. Still, it is a quiet residential neighborhood, so we ask that all noise is kept at a low level and that the quiet hours of 8pm to 8am are respected.brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrThe house is conveniently located halfway between Tybee Island (15-min) and Downtown Savannah (10-min). You can easily Uber/Lyft to either side if you're not interested in driving around - but you will definitely need transportation to get around as the roadways are not walkable due to the lack of sidewalks. You can certainly go for a morning stroll on the secondary roads here as they are mostly quiet during the day.brbrbrbrThere is a very nice Publix grocery store approximately three minutes from the house. In the event of an emergency, you can go to Urgent Care 24/7 in Whitemarsh (6-minute drive). The Chatham County Police Precinct is approximately 2.5-miles. And the closest fire emergency station is 1.5-miles away.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrThe driveway that leads to the house is shared with one other house. Theirs is at the end of the driveway and can barely be seen from the property. We ask that our guests don't drive past the first brick house on the left. That will lead you into their driveway and turning around is difficult, especially for larger vehicles.brbrbrbrThere's a maximum of six vehicles allowed to park here at any time. Please do not park on any unmarked grassy areas - this will help prevent damaging the sprinkler system. brbrbrbrPlease be aware that even though we spray for bugs on a quarterly basis, you might see palmetto bugs, wasps, and other insects during your stay. The first floor of the home includes a full bath and half bath.brbrTwo bedrooms are upstairs, along with two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a King sized bed with beautiful solid wood frame, floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the balcony, and an ensuite bath. The windows are a lingering architectural detail from a time when Savannahians were taxed by how many doors their home had. The second bedroom has comfortable a Queen-sized sleigh bed to curl up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The second bathroom sits just outside the door in the hallway.
