You can also rent a boat from close by marina.brbrThe Blue Heron Cove house is well suited for family gatherings, a family reunion, 4 couples or even buddies in town for a fishing tournament or a golf getaway. The property is only a few steps to the dock and lake, and the grassy area gently slopes to the water. The professionally built outdoor kitchen and the fire ring make the outdoor spaces complete and enjoyable in all seasons. The house is convenient to shopping and restaurants in Gainesville. Lake Lanier Islands Resort and water park is about 25 minutes away.brbrThere are 4 bedrooms (see below) and 3 full bathrooms and one half bath. There is one bedroom on the main level and the other 3 are upstairs. Two of the 4 bedrooms open to the upstairs deck and have wonderful lake views. You can watch people tube, ski or fish from the house or dock and enjoy the sunset as well. The main living area has large windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen and the eating area can seat 10 people comfortably for dinner. There is seating outside on the patio as well.brbrWI-FI is available. There are two flat screen TV's (satellite service); one on each floor. brbrOn the dock, you can sit and enjoy the sun on the upper part of the large party dock or stay below for more shade or fishing. We also have a canoe and kayaks on the dock available for your use and enjoyment. Also, we provide plenty of life vest for adults and children. Enjoy swimming off our dock with our easy access swim ladder for adults and children, just off the rear of the dock. The nearest boat ramp is Ducket Mill which is just directly across our cove, literally a 3 minute boat ride. brbrThe home is nestled in the trees with fantastic views of the lake from all bedrooms, and the main dining room area. It has two large decks attached to the house, both with incredible lake view. brbrThe outdoor all stone fire pit overlooking the lake is a guest favorite as well! It even has gorgeous stone benches to sit on surrounding the fire pit, perfect for relaxing around the fire while you roast your smores. It is the only dock in the cove so you will have complete privacy. There is a steep driveway to the house and newly constructed steps down to the water. If you have trouble climbing stairs then this is probably not the best spot for you. brbrDowntown Gainesville is about 10-15 minutes away from the house with restaurants and shopping should you tire of the nature :)brbrOther things to note: There is a fireplace and firepit for your use. There is gas fireplace and 65 Samsung Smart TV with walk out to another covered porch with loads of seating overlooking back yard and the lake, and firepit is available for use as well.brbrAdditionally, you have a complete 2nd kitchen downstairs with bar seating for 7, full-sized oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, etc. brbrThere is a 14 zone Sonos audio system so everyone can listen to their own music in different rooms or the same sound playing everywhere, including outside or the covered porch and even at the dock.brbrThe hot tub needed to be replaced with control board bad and motor aparrently having issues so working on a replacement hot tub as apparently it is not worth repairing and better option is replacement.brbrWe upgraded the large fire ring and just finished constrcution in early August 2024 of a HUGE 20+ seat paver patio area. Bench seating with back in U shape around one of the largest fire pits you have ever seen (7.5' x 3.5')...it is amazing space to take in sunset, watch the stars, or really anytime of day or night. Tons of firewood available.brbrHeading outside from the terrace level, guests will find a short and flat walk to the water. No lake house is complete without a max allowed size private 2 story dock with massive upper deck for enjoyment! Lots of seating on the top deck to relax and enjoy the sunshine.brbrWe also provide paddleboards, kayaks, floats, life vests, a swim platform and ladder, and other essential lake toys for guest use free of charge. brbrBring your rod-and-reels as the cove is also fantastic for fishing - even right from the dock! brbrThe dock is a great place to tie up a boat during your stay - the boat launch is only 10 minutes away and there is trailer parking at the top of the driveway. brbrIf you don't have a boat, but want to rent one No problem!
