Perched near the peak of Screamer Mountain, located approximately 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Clayton, GA, Charming Cabin overlooks the valley that lies between Screamer Mountain and Black Rock Mountain. This cabin is fully furnished and available for a minimum 30-day rental. brThe setting on the mountain affords views of Black Rock Mountain and seasonal views of the town of Clayton. This cabin is a wonderful place to relax or reconnect with friends and family. Sitting on the screened porch feels as if you are perched in the trees, you can relax to the sounds of the breeze and the songs of birds and as the day progresses to evening and night-time the sounds become that of tree frogs and crickets. Someone commented once that it feels like we are sitting in the trees and are looking down at the squirrels! The proximity to downtown Clayton, restaurants, grocery store, shopping, and nearby activities makes Charming Cabin a convenient place to stay as well as a home base from which to explore other areas of N. GA, or venture into NC or SC. Activities enjoyed by the owner and family have been local dining and shopping, whitewater rafting, hiking, golfing, fishing, sight-seeing, and boating on Lake Rabun and Lake Burton.brThe road leading to the cabin and the private driveway are paved. brOn the main level you will find the kitchen, living area with seating for four, gas log fireplace, TV, bedroom with two twin beds, full bath with tub/shower, and laundry closet with washer/dryer, vacuum cleaner, dust-buster, and first-aid kit. brSliding glass doors in the living area and main level bedroom offer mountain views and access to the large, screened porch. On the porch you can relax on the porch swing, rocking chairs (2), and enjoy your meals at the table with seating for four. Seasonally, the table on the porch has doubled as an office for my husband when working from home. brUpstairs is a balcony with a sleeper sofa, bedroom with queen-sized bed and comfortable memory foam mattress, and full private bathroom (large shower, no tub). A small uncovered balcony is accessed from the loft. The upper-level bedroom and loft also offer mountain views. A large main level deck wraps around the cabin from the front door to the screened porch. brbr

Blu Ray DVD with lots of dvds to watch! Seconds to historic downtown Clayton but feels like the middle of nowhere! Tons of hikes, parks and gorgeous waterfalls! Nearby by is Hemlock Falls at Moccasin Creek state Park, Talulah Gorge, Bartram Trail to moderate hikes. Within 25 minutes is the Bull Sluice rapid area of the Chatooga River, I love to swim and watch the kayaks/rafts shoot class four rapids. They shot the movie Deliverance there! There is a day bed with a pop up trundle. It can be a twin or two twins side by side! Upstairs in the loft is a double bed! This cabin has all you need. There is an exterior security camera (only points towards driveway.) The wrap around deck has two small tables and anirondac chairs to laze around! There is a fire pit to enjoy as well! No hot tub, VRBO has a glitch in their system stating that I do.brbrONLY small breed dogs are permitted with permission of the owner. No animals are ever allowed on beds and furniture. This beautiful mountain home retreat is hidden high atop scenic Screamer Mountain; fully refurbished to reflect its natural setting, with modern, sophisticated finishes at every turn. The entire home has new wood laminate flooring throughout, as well as knotty pine wall planks. The main kitchen has new cabinetry, Quartz counters, a custom-built rustic dark oak island, and new stainless-steel appliances. As you head downstairs, you will find family room as well as a kitchenette/wet bar for entertaining. Discover a secret bedroom, hidden behind the kitchenette shelving! This bedroom has a bunk bed (full over full) with a pullout trundle (twin). There's an additional tent style bed with a twin mattress. Giving you plenty of room for several kids. The remaining three bedrooms (two upstairs, one down) are all wooded and beautifully decorated, two with dramatic king size beds. The primary bedroom has a large sliding glass door that provides incredible mountain views, as well as private vanity and bathroom. All three full bathrooms in the home have been remodeled with new vanities, toilets, fixtures, black matte hardware, and wooded tub sides. This mountain home has two large back porches, both with glorious views of the Georgian mountain landscape. An entire sauna room has been added to the home, right off the lower porch.
